Occupy LA shows its true colors

Video streaming by Ustream

This is a short video clip from our friend and City Activist David Saltsburg, better known to the public as "Zuma Dogg".

"Big ZD" as he also likes to call himself, decided to go down to Los Angeles City Hall and show the protesters there what free speech is all about. After all, ZD is one of the few people who has actually won a lawsuit in Federal Court against the City of Los Angeles for violating his free speech at Venice Beach.

Unfortunately for Zuma Dogg, the "free speech" part didn't go quite as well as planned.

Zuma Dogg was surrounded by an angry mob that started jostling and shoving him, and screaming obscenities in his face. One protester warned ZD that he was about to get his ass kicked. Somebody stole the power cord to his amplifier and others started threatening violence less than one minute after ZD started singing the Bee Gees hit song "You Should Be Dancin"'.

Cheery folks, those protesters. They only confirmed what I had said before.

These people are lawless anarchists who care nothing about freedom. They want things done their way, and they are willing to use threats and violence to get what they want.

This makes their protest non-peaceful, and illegal.

If I had been elected Mayor in 2009, these people would have been greeted with tear gas, rubber bullets, and fire hoses. The protest would already be over... and these losers would be back in their Moms basements by now.

Bad Memories

Bad memories on a Saturday morning.

Two years ago I went to the Coliseum to see the Trojans get blasted by Stanford.

I had seen USC lose before... rarely... but I had never seen them get destroyed before.

I brought a date - a girl from Wisconsin - and it was her first time watching a game in the Coliseum. I felt bad for her that the crowd was kind of glum for the whole game.

I might go to the game today. ESPN Game Day is there.

I think Lee Corso won't be picking USC today.

Digging deeper into Villaraigosas corruption

I have been in touch with the Los Angeles City Ethics Department several times over the last few days. In fact, I'm waiting to hear back from them on several crucial issues that may affect future litigation.

If you want to read all about the Alexander Hugh scandal, where Hugh illegally laundered money into the Villaraigosa re-election campaign in 2009, the full story is available at the Ethics website

The bigger problem -- which I believe I have discovered through researching Villaraigosa 2009 campaign statements -- is that Villaraigosa never returned the dirty money!

Usually, in cases like this, there is an embarrassing mea culpa moment and political campaigns are forced to return corrupt donations. Not exactly the rule here in Los Angeles, though.

I contacted the Mayors Office for answers. No response. Just stonewalling.

I'll be calling Ethics again today.

"A subpoena for Villaraigosa"

I was contacted the other day by a voter here in Los Angeles who was complaining about Mayor Villaraigosas illegal fence at the Mayors mansion.

I wrote a blog post about this subject way back in June, entitled "Arrogant Villaraigosa: Laws Do Not Apply To Me". The blog post detailed how Villaraigosa wants to violate local housing codes and build a six foot wall around the Mayors home, The Getty House in Windsor Square. The fact that he is leaving in less than two years, and the insult to the rule of law were no impediments for him.

The Mayor had people put up a temporary construction fence around the house. The voter who contacted me complained that this fence had been up for many months, but no actual construction was taking place.

This doesn't surprise me. It is only one of many offenses by this corrupt Mayor of ours.

In 2009, Villaraigosa gave voters the middle finger and refused to participate in any debates or forums for the Mayoral election.

For five years, Villaraigosa gave the ethics department the middle finger by flaunting his appearances at the Oscars, Grammys, and Lakers and Dodgers games... yet refused to report the financial value of any of these gifts.

Now, the Mayor gives his own neighbors the middle finger by paying off/threatening the commission to change the rules especially for him so he can construct an illegal fence that is not allowed in that neighborhood. He makes it clear that the laws do not apply to him.

Well, I suggest that the voters in his neighborhood do what I plan to do.

Reward the Mayor with a subpoena!

His neighbors should file a class action lawsuit against Villaraigosa and make him show up in court to testify as to why -- after five years -- he suddenly needs to build this monstrous wall around the Getty House. I would like to hear the testimony of this commissioner who changed the rules specifically for the Mayor.

I myself am looking forward to seeing the Mayor served with legal papers.

My potential lawsuit against developer Alexander Hugh and his cabal of money-laundering associates will include a subpoena for the Mayor to appear and testify as a material witness. I look forward to grilling him and taking a deposition. It's going to be like a scene from the film "A Few Good Men".

"What did you promise Alexander Hugh in return for this campaign money?"

Now, I realize the Mayor may be able to escape an actual court appearance.
Official duties, blah blah blah....

But just hitting him with that subpoena will be a very rewarding moment for me.

I hate Barack Obama

I was seething with rage yesterday.

The U.S. Secret Service blocked off major streets in Los Angeles again yesterday, as President Zero held a fundraiser at the home of actor Antonio Banderas.

Traffic snarled for miles as frustrated drivers tried to get around the mess.

I myself was trapped in the traffic catastrophe. I was working and driving people from Beverly Hills to downtown Los Angeles. Wilshire was a nightmare. I evaded it and tried Sixth and Third. Also no luck. It ended up taking me an hour and a half to get there. Normally it takes 20-25 minutes.

That's an extra hour of my life I can never get back.

Same goes for tens of thousands of other Angelenos.

This arrogant, self-centered egomaniac has done this before to people in this city.

One more year... I keep telling myself....

Joseph Mailander gets paid

I met for breakfast yesterday with Joseph Mailander of the popular Street Hassle blog and paid him his money. As you can see from the above photos, we had very different emotions about the outcome of the bet.

Joseph won $50 from me in a friendly wager about Sarah Palin running/not running for President. For the life of me, I can't understand why Sarah would shy away from this contest, where the Republican nominee has a phenomenal chance to defeat Barack Obama. But hey.. it is what it is.

We had a nice Sunday morning breakfast at the House of Pies and talked about various subjects.

We discussed his writing projects, our blogs, and the general state of political affairs in the city. We talked about which Congressional District I might choose to run in. I also told Joseph he should write an entire book about his experiences working for the Reagan Campaign in 1979-80.

Two interesting notes from the breakfast meeting:

Joseph revealed to me that Richard Alarcons District 7 has the highest percentage of homeowners anywhere in the city. It blew me away that people who are successful and competent could choose that criminal supervillain to be their Councilman.

Near the end of the meeting, he also agreed with me that Council District 2 had been sold a bill of goods by Councilman Paul Krekorian.

This tidbit did not surprise me at all.

Paul Krekorian is The Dark Lord.

I don't know why I even have to tell people that anymore.

Rudy Svorinich for City Council!!

I am announcing my support for Rudy Svorinich for City Council in the 15th District.

Svorinich has already served as the Councilman from this district from 1993-2001 and has been involved in political consulting since then.

I wish him well in this race and look forward to seeing a logical, common-sense leader in the Horseshoe.

That's my President!

That's my President!

I prefer the Governor of Texas in 2012.

Not the Marxist looter who currently resides in the White House.

Idiot.

Thanks to Red Spot at Mayor Sams blog for sharing these pictures.

Good to know our incompetent and corrupt Mayor spends his time preening for cameras, telling people to crouch down like a chimpanzee in case of an earthquake.

Oh yeah, that should work.
Big Government really can solve all problems! Wow.

As a side note, the investigation into Villaraigosas corruption and campaign money-laundering activities continues.

I have let Mr. Hughs attorney know that I plan on taking legal action against Mr. Hugh and his fellow co-conspirators. He did not take the news well.

I will be on the phone with the Ethics Department later today.

Stay tuned for more details.....

Gadhafi Dead!!

I predicted this months ago.

The minute they discovered that mass grave resulting from the slaughter of Libyan prison inmates, I said to myself..."There is no way that Moammar Ghadafi stays alive in Libya."

The man had looted Libyas petroleum resources for himself and had pocketed billions of dollars. If he was smart, he would have run away to Switzerland or Venezuela or Cuba....

Someplace where big money will buy you a hiding spot.

But, like most tyrannical dictators, after decades of being in power, he had no concept of living a different life.

Goodbye, and good riddance.

This world is filled with Dangerous Enemies of Freedom, but today that list has one fewer name on it.

Gilad Shalit, Patricia McAllister & Occupy LA

Time for a reality check here at The Jennerjahn Report.

Several things have happened in the last few days that I personally do not agree with. I see them as bad policies and bad decisions enacted by leaders making poor choices.

Gilad Shalit

Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit was recently released by terrorist organization Hamas. He had been held in captivity for over five years. His release brings great joy to his family, but at what cost?

Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu had to release over 1,000 Palestinian prisoners, many of them terrorists and murderers. These people will go on to kill more Israelis in the future. This was an unnacceptable decision by Netanyahu, even though it does prove the moral superiority of the Israelis, that they would even agree to this lopsided of a deal.

This horrific exchange sends three deadly messages to Hamas and the Palestinians.

1. Israel will negotiate with terrorists, even though making broad statements to the contrary.

2. Terrorists and any potential future terrorists will not be dissuaded by these actions by Israel. They will feel more confident than ever that if captured, they probably have a good chance of being released.

3. The above two situations will show the terrorists that they can increase their violence against Israel and try to capture more Israeli soldiers... in order to gain more leverage against Israel.

Israel in this situation showed itself to be extremely weak. If I had been in charge, Shalit would still be in captivity -- and the Palestinians and Hamas would get nothing. I love Bibi Netanyahu for his previous leadership, but he made a really bad call here that will endanger many more Israelis in the future.

Patricia McAllister

Patricia McAllister got herself fired just days after being featured on this blog, Mayor Sam, and Andrew Breitbarts Big Government blog.

Even though I think McAllister is an idiot for having Anti-Semitic opinions, I can't justify her being fired for exercising her right to protected, political free speech. These actions by LAUSD Superintendent John Deasy open a Pandoras box of legal problems for Los Angeles.

McAllister can now sue the LAUSD for the violation of her Constitutionally protected right to free speech. She was exercising her right to do so on her own time, and did not say that her viewpoints were those of the LAUSD. If she had done this while teaching a class, I could understand the concern. But this was LAUSD being a bunch of liberal busybodies. A bunch of know-it-alls who cannot allow anyone else to live a life that is not politically correct.

There are far-reaching implications involved here. It puts a chilling effect on any other LAUSD employee exercising their rights to free speech. Although I think what McAllister said was idiotic, I would defend her right to say it. Where exactly does Deasy draw the line?

If they criticize him personally, will they be fired? What if they show up and attend a "Rick Perry for President" rally? Would they be fired after Deasy got a look at those photos?

McAllister got fired for reasons of political correctness, not for any actual job performance.
For this, I call "bullshit" on John Deasy and warn him of costing us taxpayers more money in unnecessary settlements due to his own, personal, Political Correctness run amok.

"Occupy LA"

I also don't agree with what is happening with the protest at Los Angeles City Hall.

Their actions are an aggressive act that violates the rights of others to live in a city with rules, and law and order.

If I had been elected Mayor in 2009, these protesters would be meeting a very different result. I would allow them their political right to protest for a few days...maybe 3 or 4 at most. Then I would inform them they had to leave because they are violating the rights of others with their continued trespass. If they didn't leave, I would order the LAPD & LAFD to use tear gas and fire hoses to disperse the crowd.

I know this decision would not be popular, but I wouldn't care. In order for a society to function properly, there has to be rule of law. Law and Order. What these people are doing right now is anarchy. They encourage more law breaking and more continued disrespect of civil rules with their lawless behavior.

I have a message for "Occupy LA" protesters: If you are unhappy with current societal situations, get off your ass and do something productive about it!

If you can camp out for two weeks on the front lawn of City Hall, you can knock on doors and make phone calls for those same two weeks to get somebody different elected to office.

Instead, you do nothing. You continue to elect losers like: The Dark Lord, The Hamburglar, and The Cat Whisperer. Fellow anarchists like Richard "Fredo" Alarcon actually support you!! He doesn't respect the law, either -- as he is currently under criminal indictment, yet planning to run for another elected office! If the people who support you are already in office, what does that tell you? How can you ever expect anything to change?

Luckily, these protesters have lying sociopath Antonio Villaraigosa as their Mayor.

He won't do anything. He's on their side.

The Dark Lord: Not dark enough for Sunland-Tujunga?

I knew things had been a little too quiet in Council District 2.

The Dark Lord is always up to no good, but in some periods he is a little more quiet than in others.

Most recently, somehow, Councilman Paul Krekorian has offended and riled the NIMBYs of Sunland Tujunga.

Dan McManus, the President of the Sunland Tujunga Neighborhood Council, writes a puffed up letter about this "terrible" Samoa project -- which will bring subsidized housing to Sunland-Tujunga!!

Horror of horrors.

(Does Dan McManus hate poor people? I thought liberals loved them...)

Strangely enough, I agree with the NIMBYs of Sunland Tujunga.

Not for their phony reasons of "environmental impact"...

I generally do not agree with the government spending money to create housing. That is the job of the private sector.

I also don't think the government should be wasting money on building subsidized housing in this economy. There are foreclosures everywhere! Why build new?

The NIMBYS want Krekorian to put a stop to this project.

In their minds, The Dark Lord is not meddling enough in the lives of others.

That's a frightening thought.

Yeah, this woman works for LAUSD.

That is the quality of protesters they have down there.

1,000 Days of Misery

We are approaching a new milestone today. We have reached the 1,000 day mark of the Obama Presidency. And what a 1,000 days of misery it has been!

Unemployment is sky high.
Obama keeps on trying to introduce more taxes and claim that government is the only thing that can save America.

The nationalization of several large banks. The collapse of several others.

The seizure of the entire health care field, which threatens to destroy medicine in this country.

Continued class warfare. President Zero can't give a speech without mentioning the words "millionaires and billionaires".

Boneheaded capital-wasting programs like "Solyndra" green energy.....

It's time to face facts. President Obama is a loser.
He was elected by losers.
He chooses sides with the parasites instead of the producers.
Our country is doomed if he gets four more years to sow destruction.

Luckily, I think he only has 462 days left in office.

I am the 53%

My first job? I flipped burgers for $3.35 /hour.
I was happy and grateful to have the job.
I owe tens of thousands of dollars in student loan and credit card debt.... yet I blame no one else but myself for compiling these debts.
I have been working hard and paying down these debts for many, many years.
I know that Steve Jobs, Warren Buffett, and Bill Gates are worth billions of dollars -- BUT -- I realize they earned that money by creating wonderful products that improved the lives of hundreds of millions of other human beings.
They didn't get it by sitting around on their asses, smoking dope, and bitching and moaning about how unfair life is.
I WISH I was as talented as Jobs, Buffett, and Gates.
But I'm not.
I'm just one of the 53% !!

Living in an Orwellian Nightmare

The title of this blog post, of course, references George Orwells classic book "1984" -- where "Big Brother", or more accurately, Big Government is in charge of everything.

We are living in dangerous times right now. Times that are starting to see reality begin to mimic Orwells fiction.

A few of my Conservative friends on Facebook were arrested in Washington D.C. recently, and they are potentially facing one year in jail.

Their crime?

A political protest where they went and sold lemonade on Capitol Hill.

This action was taken to protest the fact that many municipalities across the nation have cracked down on young children running lemonade stands. Yes, the Nanny-State -- enabled by President Barack Obama -- cannot handle the fact that free citizens choose to take the risk that they may be buying "unsafe" lemonade from toddlers in their front yards.

District of Columbia Police say that selling things on Capitol Hill is prohibited and that is worthy of a charge that brings a six month stay in jail.

On top of that, these freedom fighters face an additional six months for refusing to take a drug test. A drug test? For what?

This was a purely political protest and the Police are very aware of that fact.

There are millions of people in this country who voted for Barack Obama.

I'd like to give all of them a drug test.

Rick Perrys post-debate Q&A session

Here is a small video clip of Texas Governor Rick Perry answering some questions post-debate.

Even though he has stumbled in the polls after some bad answers in the debates...I still have confidence in Governor Perry.

He is good with people and has character.
He is a leader.
I trust him.

Romney and Cain will eventually stumble because they are not good candidates for the White House.

Pondering Litigation

If any of you follow the local news, a very important story broke yesterday about a financial donor to the 2009 Villaraigosa re-election campaign being nailed with charges of fraud.

I was a candidate for Mayor in that election, which Villaraigosa won by carrying about 55% of a very small turnout of the vote. Only 15% of the voters showed up in that election, because Mayor Villaraigosa was being challenged by nine other men who combined didn't have 10% of the Mayors campaign funds.

The media pretty much refused to even cover the event, writing it off as a non-story.

I ran in that election because I despised Villaraigosa and everything he stood for.
I was offended that no powerful political figure had the guts to challenge him.
At a minimum, Villaraigosa is a grudge-driven racist. At his worst, he is a dangerous sociopath who may have crippled the city for decades with his widespread corruption and looting of public funds.
The other local, elected city officials were gutless for not trying to remove him from power.

Villaraigosa was unpopular, and even though he bought the election, he barely won.

I have to admit I am considering litigation against this developer Alexander Hugh and all his associates that participated in this campaign finance fraud.

Maybe we can hit Villaraigosa with some subpoenas also.

It would be interesting to see how deep this corruption goes.

Could these financial donors be held financially responsible for the nine other candidates losing the election? I'm not sure.

I have never heard of any political candidate taking legal action against financial donors of their opponent. I think it would be a precedent-setting case. It might even have to go to the Supreme Court.

Mary Cummins gets "Punked"!

Today, a hilarious video for everyone to see.

It seems that everyones favorite internet stalker & Mayor Sam legend Mary Cummins ran her mouth all over the internet about someone who didn't particularly care for it... and ended up getting herself sued in the process! Maybe there is a lesson to be learned by Mary here. If you keep messing around with the wrong people, eventually someone is going to turn around and take the fight to you.

It appears that the plaintiffs in this case arranged to have Mary set up. They had someone contact her and pretend to have an injured "albino squirrel" that needed her help. Mary, being the obsessive "friend of the furry" that she is, dropped everything and rushed to the rescue.
(I told you she was like Batman......)

In this video, she pops out of her car with her trusty animal cage in hand.
Instead of rescuing that poor, injured albino squirrel, the gentleman in the video serves her with a subpoena saying she is being sued by Bat World Sanctuary and Amanda Lollar for making defamatory statements about their business.
Poor Mary! Now she has to fly all the way to Texas to sit in a courtroom and face some very unpleasant and intrusive questions. I hear that two of Marys former stalking victims are going to be present in the courtroom as observers.

For more fun and entertainment, go check out the deposition videos.

Finally, it is Marys turn to squirm in the hot seat.

And Mayor Sam readers across the southland get a lot of chuckles from all of this.

An interesting side note here... if you go to Google and type
"mary cummins stalker" in the search window

... you get over 1 million hits.

Busy girl, that Mary.

Mitt Romneys Mormon Faith

Mitt Romney is topping the news feeds for the last 24 hours after a supporter of Texas Governor Rick Perry called Romneys Mormon Church a "cult".

That was catnip for the news media, who couldn't stop talking about it.

America has never elected a Mormon to be President, and there is a simple explanation for that. Many Christian faiths in America view Mormonism with suspicion and distrust.

Mormons believe in Jesus and refer to themselves as Christians, but they also believe in a modern-day prophet named Joseph Smith, who said he communicated with God.

Smith claimed to have discovered long-lost buried "Plates of Gold" near his home in New York. Plates that were written in a symbolic language that only he could understand.

His translation of these plates later became the Book of Mormon.

These facts all seem a little far out and non-traditional for most Christians.

Evangelical voters, who make up a large percentage of GOP Primary voters, are unlikely to give Mitt Romney very many votes.

Romney will probably win the New Hampshire Primary, but he is going to get killed in the Deep South.

Pastor Robert Jeffress of the First Baptist Church of Dallas fired an opening salvo in this battle by stating that the Mormon church is a "cult".

It was an aggressive statement by Jeffress, who supports Rick Perry.

Different Christian faiths are traditionally known to "play nice" by following the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth. It is rare to hear them openly criticize or condemn one another.

As a Catholic, my faith dictates that we are the one, true Christian church.

However, as a Christian, I am reluctant to criticize or condemn my fellow Christians.

Even Mormons, who I believe to be a bit odd, are still trying to strive to achieve Christian principles. I would call them a sect, or a branch of Christianity.

I think it is unproductive and wrong of Pastor Jeffress to call them a cult.

Mitt Romney is going to have to make a big speech about this issue.

The other GOP candidates are dancing around this, because they don't want to offend anyone.
It would be refreshing to hear the candidates speak openly about this subject.

Stephen Box is insane

How do I know that former City Council Candidate Stephen Box is insane?

He rides a bicycle in Los Angeles.

He is willing to bet his very life that some stupid, distracted, text-messaging driver will not run him over.

I wouldn't take that bet for anything.
I know how people here drive.

He should show more common sense...especially now that he and his wife have a kid on the way.

However, he should be fine today!

Bicycle anarchists seize the Los Angeles streets today for Ciclavia -- preventing me from doing my job and earning a living.

They are really starting to get on my nerves.

Tyranny & Medical Marijuana

Yesterday, Federal Agents announced that they plan to crack down on the California medical marijuana industry. They stated that is has become a front for operations that are not interested in health...only in making money.

Surprise, surprise!

The idiots in government are finally waking up to the fact that the whole medical marijuana thing has been a scam from the very start. Over 90% of the people buying it in dispensaries are not ill.

I feel that this is tyranny from the Federal government.

Let me be clear... I in no way approve of the medical marijuana industry. I think most of the "medical marijuana" users are a scam. They are just people who want to smoke marijuana and get high. I think most of the medical marijuana dispensaries are a scam. If it was truly "medicine", then it should be distributed at hospitals and pharmacies, not in private clubs.

I don't think people should smoke marijuana... but then again, I don't think people should smoke tobacco cigarettes, either... but it is their choice to make.

Anything else is tyranny.

The Federal Government here is violating the 10th Amendment.

Nowhere in the U.S. Constitution does it give them the power to dictate which agricultural products are legal and which are illegal. That power is reserved to the States.

An all-powerful, and evil government that says it has the power to declare marijuana to be illegal, then also has the power to declare that tomatoes are illegal. Or onions.
This is a government saying that it has no limits.
It violates our laws and threatens our freedom.

The marijuana issue was never about marijuana. It was about control over human beings and their human behavior. Law enforcement was always scared of an army of drug-crazed loonies causing chaos in our society. Medical marijuana has been around for years and there hasn't even been a tiny blip on the crime radar screen.

Law enforcement fears are irrational.

It's time to get government out of the business of being a cultural dictator.

CPAC 2012

I know where I am going to be in February 2012.

I can't wait to be back with all my Conservative friends and experience the excitement of CPAC in a Presidential election year.

I'll be with the "Perry for President" crowd there.

Steve Jobs: The Visionary of The Computer Age

Steve Jobs died yesterday and technology fans all over the world were saddened to hear the news. However, it wasn't completely unexpected. Jobs had cancer and had been in declining health for several years. He had stepped down from his executive position at Apple several months ago.

News media and pundits around the world were all hailing him as the modern day Thomas Edison, or Henry Ford. I wouldn't go quite that far. There are still over a billion people in the world who don't have a computer or an iPhone. But there are almost none whose lives haven't been affected by the motor vehicles pioneered by Ford or the electric light bulb of Thomas Edison. But still, Jobs is in the same general zip code as those men.

Jobs was the visionary of the computer age. Although he made few actual breakthroughs or innovations, Jobs just continued to push the envelope of what was new and cutting edge for the consumers. People were eager to run to the store and give him their money to obtain the newest, coolest project he had created. His competitors were also creating personal computers and MP3 players and smart phones. Jobs just did things a little better and eventually started to dominate the market in digital music and cellular phones.

In 1974, Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak started Apple Computers with a few thousand dollars in the garage of Jobs' home. In 2011 stock market valuations, Apple temporarily surpassed ExxonMobil to become the most valuable company in the world.

At his death, Steve Jobs had acquired a net wealth of $8.3 billion dollars.
In my opinion, he was worth a hell of a lot more than that.

We were lucky to live in the same time as Steve Jobs.

His speech at Stanfords graduation (above) is one of the best I have ever heard.

Sarah Palins New Deadline: October 28, 2011

Now that potential front-runner New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has dropped out of consideration for the 2012 GOP Presidential nomination, the spotlight turns to former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.

Palin has hinted for months that she might run, but time is now running very short for her.
In order to be on the ballot in New Hampshire, you have to have filed the proper paperwork in advance of the election. The new deadline is Friday, October 28th. New Hampshire Secretary of State Bill Gardner has had to move the deadline up slightly in anticipation of political stunts by the states of Florida and others who are threatening to move the date of their primaries. New Hampshire has for decades held the tradition of holding the first primary in the Presidential nominating races. Gardner says that New Hampshire will protect that "first in the nation" status.

So the question remains....will she run or will she decline?

I'm inclined to believe she will run.

She says she has the "fire in the belly".
She clearly can't stand Obama or his policies and what they are doing to America.
She has an army of ferociously devoted followers.
If she runs, she could probably raise $500 million dollars -- enough to compete with Obama.

But, lately in TV interviews, she has hedged her bets by making comments about the office of President being "restrictive" to getting things done. So, maybe she is leaning towards not running.

Her path is uncertain, and her choice unclear.....but we do know one thing.
In 23 days, we will know -- one way or another -- what her plans are.

Greek Tragedy

We are about to witness the most unpleasant Greek tragedy of all time.

The country of Greece is going to default on its debt.
Years and years of irresponsible Socialist leadership kept voting higher and higher benefits for people who did not work. Eventually, the math doesn't work anymore.
There are more people drawing out benefits than putting money into the system.
The system teeters on the brink...then collapses.

Greece is on the brink.
Saving them now only encourages more irresponsibility.
Better to let them collapse and start over.
Pensions, benefits...all of it nullified and voided.

The Greeks can start over with the drachma, a currency that will be nearly worthless at the start and will probably get worse from there.

The Germans and the French will probably dissolve the Euro and the European union may collapse. This may start a run on the banks and a total collapse of the worldwide economy.

Greece is a perfect example of why you do not let a government have too much power over its citizens. Bad things happen.

It's a lesson that we Americans are not too far off from learning ourselves.

"Losers" Occupy L.A.

Here is a classic photo of three losers who are part of the angry mob that has decided to "Occupy L.A" by taking over the south lawn at City Hall.

Two of the losers are fiddling around on their iPhones/Blackberrys.

Courtesy of those "evil corporations" who have made wireless internet service on their cell phones easily available in almost every location, and made it readily available to everyone at such a low price point that even these "poor, disadvantaged 1%ers" can take advantage of their cellular network services.

The same evil corporations that are ruining their lives.

These people are clueless. They are hypocrites and they are full of shit.

Why I don't believe in Herman Cain

Herman Cain won the Florida Straw Poll in a convincing fashion. So what?

I find it strange that some in the media would allow a private event like this to influence their view of the GOP Presidential Primary race. Congressman Ron Paul has won tons of Straw Polls. But he has never won a primary and he won't be winning the nomination in 2012.

There are things I like about Herman Cain... he seems to have a pretty solid background in business, and he talks about reducing the tax rates. Check and check. Those work for me.

However, there are several other factors that show me that Herman Cain isn't the right guy to be our President. He has never won elected office, and he seems to only be interested in the highest possible ones. He has run for President and U.S. Senate before, and he didn't come close to winning either time. To me, this shows that he has a certain attitude of self-importance. (What, he couldn't be a Mayor or Congressman first?)

One of the things I liked the most about Cain was his truth about Islam. He said he wouldn't hire a Muslim to be in his Cabinet if elected. I agree with this because Muslims follow a prophet who raped and murdered people. A prophet who encourages his followers to murder non-believers of Islam. If you can choose to follow someone like that, there is already something wrong with you.

Of course, when these comments started to be attacked by the media, Cain did the typical politician thing and started walking back his comments. I don't care for that. The truth is the truth, no matter how well you disguise it. If he can't stand his ground on those comments, I don't need him in the White House. I prefer candidates like Michele Bachmann and Rick Perry... who have made some controversial statements, but stand behind their positions. To me, that shows leadership and an unwillingness to bend to political correctness.

Cain also spends a lot of time talking about "reforming" different troublesome areas of our government. Again, I prefer Conservatives like Bachmann and Perry who talk about dismantling certain departments of our government and getting rid of them altogether. Cains conservatism doesn't ring true to me. He seems like a moderate who is willing to slide towards liberalism if pushed hard enough.

There are some strange people in our party who feel that we need to run an African-American candidate in order to beat Obama in 2012. I feel that this is crazy and the furthest thing from the truth. We need to run a competent professional in 2012, with a history of results. That is what will defeat the ineffective and incompetent Barack Obama. Not skin color.

Voters know a leader when they see one. Rick Perry jumped into the race and soared to first place over a pack of candidates who had been running for a year. Voters liked what they saw in him.

Herman Cain will receive a fair amount of votes for the GOP nomination. But he won't be our candidate in 2012. He is not good enough. I actually suspect Cain is "building his brand" so that he can win a race for Governor or U.S. Senate a few years down the road. He is certainly getting more famous and drawing in more supporters as he goes along... but I am not one of them.

Nebraska @ Wisconsin

I only care about one thing today.

I'm wearing my Badgers gear to support my school.

#7 Wisconsin plays #8 Nebraska in the debut game for Nebraska in its new Big Ten Conference.

Massive game.

ESPN Gameday is on Bascom Hill early in the day.
