Delaware Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell has become The Most Important Woman in America.

At least for this week.

O'Donnell is involved in an election that has a bit of a difference.

Her election is a special election to replace Joe Biden (really, this long?) in the U.S. Senate.

If O'Donnell wins, she gets sworn in immediately and helps to stop the Obama Agenda.

Despite unprecedented maligning by the liberal media, O'Donnell has pulled within striking distance of her opponent and is only down by ten points in the polls.

The "experts" said that Scott Brown couldn't win in Massachusetts.

Let's hope, for the sake of our country, that they are wrong about Christine O'Donnell, too.

Documents released by the City of Los Angeles raise questions about a Los Angeles personal services contract awarded in 2002 by Councilman Nick Pacheco to Mike Gatto, a California Assemblyman now running for re-election as a taxpayer watchdog cracking down on abuses in municipal government.

According to the documents [ORIGINALS IN .PDF APPENDIX: EXHIBITS 1 & 2]:

• On September 19, 2002, Los Angeles City Councilman Nick Pacheco awarded Mike Gatto a six month, $15,000, labor-intensive “personal services contract.” During this time, FEC records show that Gatto was still serving as a campaign staffer in the thick of Brad Sherman’s re-election campaign – a position he began in April of that year.
• On October 9, 2002 - just 19 days later - Mike Gatto submitted an invoice claiming he had performed 227 hours of work under the contract at a rate of $65 per hour. The invoice amount: $14,755.00. [SEE EXHIBIT 1]

“These documents would raise questions in the minds of reasonable people as to whether Mike Gatto ever performed the work required under the contract. 227 hours is a lot of work to do in 19 days, especially while you are simultaneously immersed in a Congressional re-election campaign. These are only questions, and no allegations of wrongdoing are being made. We believe that Mike Gatto should have an opportunity to set the record straight.” – James Fisfis, President, Chariot LLC.

More questions arise from the documents released by the City of Los Angeles regarding Mike Gatto’s personal services contract.

• According to the contract language [SEE EXHIBIT 2], the in-depth analysis of constituent services required under the contract was to be performed by Gatto from September 15, 2002 through March 15, 2003. The contract required the submission of “monthly reports” by Gatto, and detailed “monthly invoices” pursuant to a work schedule. Yet, according to records released by the City Controller, Gatto submitted his $14,775.50 invoice on October 9, 2002 – not even one month into the contract.
• According to Los Angeles city records, Gatto’s personal services contract with Nick Pacheco was first presented to the Los Angeles City council on September 27, 2002 – eight days after it had already been signed.
• According to Los Angeles city records, Gatto’s personal services contract with Nick Pacheco was not approved until October 2, 2002, almost two weeks after it had been signed and just seven days before Gatto invoiced the city for nearly the full contract.
• According to FEC records, during the contract period September 15-November 15, 2002, Mike Gatto was a full-time campaign staffer. According to Congressional data, during the contract period after November 15, 2002 through March 15, 2002, Mike Gatto working full-time for the Congressional office of Brad Sherman.

The latest polls coming out point to enormous gains for Republicans in this mid-term election on Tuesday.

Critics looking for answers had to look no further than the Sean Hannity television program Thursday night.

Hannity interviewed Delaware Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell.

O'Donell is one of those who has been put through the wringer by the media, with talk show host Bill Maher making it a personal crusade of his to try and destroy her career.

Hannity made the important point that Democrats try to "demonize" women candidates.

Their hate-fueled rhetoric seems to know no limits.

Talk show host Joy Behar called Nevada Senate candidate Sharron Angle "a bitch".

California Gubernatorial candidate Jerry Brown was on a telephone call when someone in his office was overheard calling Meg Whitman "a whore".

One fact about these situations that maybe interests only me ...

.... is that there was no condemnation from the left!

And there won't be, either.

When it comes right down to it, if you are a liberal, you are allowed to say anything in the world that is racist, sexist, homophobic...whatever... as long as it promotes liberal ideology and goals!

New polls are showing that women voters, who voted for Obama by (+10) in 2010, are now registering and voting by (+20) for Republicans in this election.

Democratic misogyny will cost them Congress.

The Republicans will capture both the House and the Senate this week.

The coming tidal wave is much more powerful than the Democrats can comprehend.

Dear Mr. Cooley:

My name is Jane Barnett, and I am a resident of Los Angeles County. I am writing to you with regard to my concern about the residency and voting history of California State Assemblyman Mike Gatto.

Assemblyman Gatto lives at 2611 Armstrong Avenue in Los Angeles, a residence he shares with his mother. That residence is within the 43^rd Assembly District, which he currently represents. According to the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk, Mr. Gatto has been registered to vote (and has voted) at that address since 2004 - up to and including our most recent election on June 8 of this year.

However, according to readily available public documents – including campaign contribution records filed with the Federal Election Commission and his designation as agent for service of process for a company (JPJ Lending, Inc.) registered with the California Secretary of State, Mr. Gatto’s residence was declared by him to be at 2573 Canyon Lane in Los Angeles during the same period at which he was apparently registered to vote and participating in elections at 2611 Armstrong Avenue (an address also in another district).

I am aware that one who votes in an election must swear that they are a resident at the address at which they are registered, and since Mr. Gatto was apparently registered and voting at one location but living at another, I am concerned that there may be potential voting irregularities.

Ensuring the integrity of our electoral system and requiring that our public officials follow the very rules they are sworn to uphold is imperative in a nation of laws. As Mr. Gatto is currently seeking to be reinvested with the public trust, I respectfully request that your office investigate this matter with all necessary diligence.

If he is this much of a fanboy for the Manchurian President, how can he be trusted to make the correct decisions on complicated, divisive City political issues?

My Votes and Predictions for Election Day

These are my votes and predictions for Election Day, November 2nd.

GOVERNOR

My Vote: None. Leaving it blank.

My Prediction: Jerry Brown wins by a 54-46 margin.

Analysis: I have mentioned before in my blog posts that I am no fan or either Brown or Whitman. The reason that Jerry Brown wins is that he has a lifetime of experience in the political arena. There are people in California that have been voting for him for 30 years. Extreme liberals, Socialists, Union members, Teachers unions...they will all get out the vote and Brown will win.

I mentioned in a previous blog how Whitman was a bad candidate. No history and no real depth to her support. She doesn't have the deep ties necessary to win a big office. She's just a checkbook and a campaign. Candidates need to have more than money... they need to have character and integrity. Meg becomes a historical footnote. First candidate to ever spend over $100 million of her own money on a campaign ... and lose.

LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR

My Vote: None. Leaving it blank.

My Prediction: Gavin Newsom wins easily. 58-37

Analysis: Newsom made a big mistake by overreaching and running for Governor. However, stepping back and taking the number 2 spot just might make him a Democratic Presidential contender in the future. I can't stand Newsom, but he is well liked by liberal Democrats. The gay marriage champion will be just one 72 year old heartbeat away from running this State. That's just great. The painful thing for me is that I can't even vote against him. Abel Maldonado is a treacherous snake who betrayed voters by "flipping" and voting along with the Democrats for tax raises. Many Republicans are secretly hoping that Maldonado crashes and burns. And with that type of support from his friends, burn he will.

UNITED STATES SENATOR

My Vote: Undecided. I'm 50-50 on leaving it blank. But I hate Boxer so much I might slip....

My Prediction: Fiorina wins in an upset. 52-48. Even though Fiorina is a RINO, Boxer has done nothing of value in Washington. People see Boxer as a rubber stamp vote for Obama, and in an attempt to change Washington, they will send Carly Fiorina to the Senate. Fiorina had good TV ads and was more telegenic than Boxer, who looked and sounded old and tired.

ATTORNEY GENERAL

My Vote: Steve Cooley.

My Prediction: Steve Cooley. 55-45. My lock pick of the night.

Analysis: Cooley is a better candidate than Kamala Harris, who couldn't keep illegal criminals out of her jobs program in San Francisco. Cooley is a tough Republican, and voters trust that type of man to run the law enforcement agency top spot.

The First Rule of Mike Gatto

Well, I mentioned a few months ago on this blog that State Assemblyman Mike Gatto might be going after Michael Higby and his Mayor Sam blog. Of course, I was just guessing at the time.

Assemblyman Gatto contacted me later to deny any wrongdoing and to make himself out to be the aggrieved party in the dispute.

I don't know what to make of this next part.... except that there is no longer any guessing being done.

Assemblyman Gatto, most likely offended by his negative coverage on the Mayor Sam blog, has had his attorneys contact blogger Michael Higby and issue a "cease and desist" order. I don't think it has anything to do with what Higby has specifically said, but I think it has to do with some rather one-sided slams coming from blogger Scott Johnson (a.k.a. Red Spot in CD 14).

One defense against slander and libel accusations is that the truth is the ultimate defense. But I can't be sure that every word Red Spot has said about Gatto is the truth. Maybe Red Spot should have labelled his comments as "my opinion".

Regardless, I think this behavior is very poor on Gatto's part. He's a sitting State Assembly member. He is bound to receive unflattering comments about himself in the media. Part of being a public official is that you have to be willing to take abuse from disgruntled voters who aren't happy about a wide variety of issues.

If you can't handle criticism from cranky people, politics is not the right career field for you.

I don't think anything said about Gatto on Mayor Sams blog was any more harsh or critical than anything that they say about anyone else. Mayor Villaraigosa and most of the City Council Members have a lot more to complain about than Mike Gatto. (Hell, I'm not even elected to anything yet and Gatto does not receive half of the abuse I take on the internet.)

I don't like that Higby caved to Gattos lawyers and deleted all references to Gatto on the blog.

Higbys Mayor Sam has been one of the hardest hitting investigative/exposé blogs about City government.

It is read by thousands and cross referenced by thousands more.

Mayor Sams blog has helped launch careers - and it has helped destroy them, also.

We expect more from Mayor Sam. Higby should have told Gattos lawyer creeps to get lost.

Instead, we get the Mike Gatto Lawyers Fight Club squelching free speech and free press.

"The first rule of Mike Gatto....... is that you do not talk about Mike Gatto!!"

Jerry Brown exposed

This is the hero of the liberals.

An unrepentant nihilist who believes we are all doomed.

He admits to being a liar and having no plan for California. Great.

Loonies like Joe Barrett and Joseph Mailander are about to use their hatred to elect him.

Oropeza dies at 53. Stammreich victory possible

State Senator Jenny Oropeza died this week of health problems at age 53.

She suffered a blood clot and fluid buildup in her lungs.

It is a tragedy and I offer my condolences to her family.

It is an unusual and unlikely twist of events for my friend and fellow Republican activist John Stammreich.

Stammreich was in the middle of a hotly contested California Senate race with Oropeza.

Polling had Stammreich down by only a few points, but Oropezas death could turn everything around.

Her followers and campaign staff have to be thoroughly demoralized.

I don't think people are excited to go out and campaign for someone who will never be able to take the office.

I certainly hope John can pull off the difficult task of trying to be polite and courteous in the face of tragedy, yet still rally his troops for the fight to win that Senate seat.

Time for the "pretenders" to call it a day

Here is a funny blog from another political viewpoint.

I don't agree with everything they have to say, but some of the commentary is very funny.

I find it hilarious that they described Carlos Alvarez (my former opponent in the 2009 Mayoral election) as a "Gay Socialist."

I am writing this blog today to say that the four other candidates for Governor need to give up and endorse one of the two main candidates. I dislike Meg Whitman, but not nearly as much as I hate Jerry Brown. Because of the selfishness of these unknown, irrelevant candidates, we are facing a possibility of Governor Moonbeam, Part 2.

Now, as Resident Obama says "let me be clear".

I am in no way, shape or form against these people running for office.

I actually think it is great. But the time for kiddie games is over.

This is the "big boys" election, and the other four candidates are just bystanders.

They might have some good ideas, but Meg Whitman spent over $100 million on this election.

She dominated advertising and most people in California know who she is now.

The other four could remain anonymous in any crowded elevator.

Carlos Alvarez, the gay Socialist, cannot win. He is wasting everyones time just by being involved.

However, he now gets to tell people that he finished in the top 6 while running for Governor of California in 2010. Unfortunately for humanity, that will encourage him to run again.

Chelene Nightingale is an interesting choice. She's more Conservative than Meg Whitman, but like Carlos Alvarez, she doesn't have any real money and will finish far behind the top two on November 2nd.

I will lump Libertarian Dale Ogden and Green Party candidate Laura Wells together.

They might have a few good ideas, but again , Whitman spent over $100 million and Jerry Brown will probably spend upwards of $80 million on this election.

The other 4 didn't spend money, didn't get their name out, and will finish extremely poorly.

The best thing they can do now is to get their voters to support one of the the main two candidates.

(Where is Judy Price when you need her? She could explain the phrase "top candidates" to them!)

Do we live in Pottersville?

Glenn Beck had an excellent segment in his program today where he talked about the classic Frank Capra movie "It's A Wonderful Life", which starred Jimmy Stewart, Donna Reed and Lionel Barrymore.

Beck made an interesting analogy about where we are as a country today.

Do we live in Pottersville? Or do we live in Bedford Falls?

Pottersville is run by a corrupt tyrant, the spiteful and hateful slumlord Henry Potter.

Potter does whatever he can to crush and destroy the dreams of others.

His ideal world is where everyone is his servant or subject.

Potter is an all-powerful big-government type of guy.

The people who live in his world are all wretched nihilists who live in misery.

Paul Krekorian, Paul Koretz, Richard Alarcon, Jan Perry, Joe Barrett, and Joseph Mailander ...they would all live in Pottersville. They would live there by choice. They might even like it there.

They like the idea of telling someone else how to live their life.

And they are not shy about using force to get their way.

Then, there are people like me, who choose to live in Bedford Falls.

Sure, it is not perfect. Not everyone is rich. Many people there struggle every day.

But everyone is free and has a wide variety of opportunities open to them.

Beck made a point that the only difference between the two outcomes is that Harry Bailey chose to believe in the goodness of other people. It only took one man to make a difference.

Someone has to believe that this tyrant Obama can be stopped before he destroys America.

Someone has to believe that this tyrannical City Council can be stopped before they destroy this City.

I believe that this country can be saved. So can this city.

I choose to live in Bedford Falls.

Even with the broken knob on the stairwell bannister.

Tom La Bonge: A Freedom-Hating Liberal!!

Here is a video of Tom La Bonge at the LA City Council meeting on Friday saying that he wants to cut public comment down to one minute. Basically, La Bonge can cash a fat City paycheck, but when it comes to dealing with the actual voting public, he'd prefer they just go away.

La Bonge is in trouble for his next run for CD4. He didn't even have an opponent in his last election, and he has never faced an attack dog like me. I will enjoy humiliating him with his stupid votes and stupid comments from City Council. He is about as wrong and as dumb as it gets.

I'm going to enjoy asking voters at the CD4 forums...

Why I oppose term limits

TJR readers might be surprised that, as a Conservative Republican, I oppose term limits.

"But why?", you might ask, as many people view term limits as a surefire way to get career politicians out of office.

Here are my reasons.

1) Term limits are an unconstitutional limit on the candidates freedom.

I personally think that anyone should be able to run for any office, anywhere.

Let the voters decide!!

We live in what is considered to be the worlds best democracy. To not let the voters have a wide variety of choices on the ballot is unfair and runs contrary to our cherished beliefs.

If a candidate is doing a good job, and his voters like him, why should he be forced out? This type of interference with any other job position would be actionable in court. Why do it in politics?

We already have term limits. It's called an election.

Even people I despise, like Nancy Pelosi or Barney Frank certainly have the right to run for office if they choose. Their voters are dumb for re-electing them, but that is their choice to make.

Term limits were created by people who have the wrong ideas. They think that getting people out of an elected position on term limits actually helps. Not really...

2) Term limits cause more harm than good.

Voters have instituted a policy that causes negative behaviors from political figures. If you remember the characters from the above photos, Richard "Fredo" Alarcon and Paul "Lord Voldemort" Krekorian, you would understand the damage of term limits. Career politicians are constantly eyeing each others jobs in a non-stop merry go round of job hopping that makes no sense and ends up costing taxpayers millions of dollars as they cause special election after special election.

Krekorian and Alarcon both gave the voters of their districts the middle finger salute, as they abandoned new jobs in the State Legislature to run for seats on the Los Angeles City Council. Krekorian and Alarcon had just barely started their terms when they jumped at the chance for a different job. The LA City Council jobs allow a three term performance, guaranteeing the elected official the shot at a 12 year run there. Unfortunately, both of these evil career politicians was able to win their seat, despite their hateful, disloyal behavior towards their voters.

3) Term limits cause a lack of accountability and enormous financial damage.

Politicians who are being termed out have no reason to behave in a rational, accountable manner. They often start voting for nonsensical personal legislation, or start doling out public money and positions to theirs buddies, families, and supporters. I watched Richard Alarcon put his daughter on the Taxicab Commission, even though she admitted that she was still attending Law School in Washington DC at the time!

Alarcon acted without fear...because he cannot be re-elected to his City Council seat.

Other politicians have acted just as destructively as Alarcon, if not more so.

"If I can't come back", they figure, "why not burn the place to the ground on the way out?".

It is an unforeseen consequence of what voters originally thought was good idea.

If the current City Council Members win their re-elections in March, most of them will not have to face voters again. They will go on a destructive spending rampage that will make our current financial problems look like a picnic.

Sarah Palin showed up for a GOP Victory rally yesterday in Anaheim, California.

She was charming and charismatic, and showed her true power as an innate, natural communicator.

She might be the best communicator the party has had since Ronald Reagan.

I think the other GOP candidates for 2012 have to worry about her now.

Her groundswell is growing. She's the most popular candidate by far.

People paid to go this rally yesterday. Several thousand of them.

What other candidate could do that?

Steve Cooley for Attorney General (of the United States?)

Here is an interesting concept. Steve Cooley for Attorney General of the United States?

Los Angeles County District Attorney Steve Cooley is currently running for Attorney General of the State of California. Cooley is doing very well in the election. He blew away all his opponents early in the primary, and he is currently leading opponent Kamala Harris in the nearly every poll being taken.

Cooley is a Republican, and is generally seen as being tougher on crime than his lightweight Democratic counterpart, San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris. Harris is against the death penalty.

One of the biggest blows against Harris was when she got caught allowing illegal immigrants -- including some who had committed serious crimes -- to be enrolled in a jobs training program paid for with government money. The illegal immigrants were being trained for jobs they could not legally hold.

This startling revelation was a body blow to the Harris campaign. It is unlikely that someone who wants to be the top prosecutor in California would be able to earn the trust of voters after it is revealed that she couldn't even keep criminal illegals out of a government jobs program that she ran herself.

Harris is also seen as being soft on crime because of the murders of the Bologna family. Murders that occurred because of the liberal politics of San Francisco and its status as a "Sanctuary City". The perpetrator, Edwin Ramos, was an illegal immigrant who should have been deported... except for the liberal policies of San Francisco... which allowed Ramos to stay and gun down three members of the Bologna family during a road rage incident in 2008. Ramos had been convicted of felonies in 2003 and 2004 but was not turned over for deportation.

So how does this make Steve Cooley the next Attorney General of the United States? Well...

Cooley is about to win the AG election here in California, a very prominent state.

As District Attorney, Steve Cooley really showed his stuff when he had Richard "Fredo" Alarcon indicted for voter registration fraud.

He continued to impress the voting public when he deposited the criminal embezzlers of the City of Bell neatly behind bars. It was an arrest that I had called for myself.

His next act? The arrest and prosecution of Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa for "Ticketgate".

I will admit that there are "whispers" of this possibly happening, (and I am one of those whispering the loudest!)

Why do I think this will happen? Several reasons...

As a new Attorney General starting a four year term, Steve Cooley has the chance to really distinguish himself from other big prosecutors. If he were to take down the sitting Mayor of the second largest city in America, he would practically be Superman in the law enforcement community, not to mention a legend in the Republican Party.

Steve Cooley is worried about the appearance of these things being "too political" for his own good...but hey... Villaraigosa committed the crimes... and most people in Los Angeles would have no problem with Villaraigosa "doing the time" part of the equation. In fact, there are rampant rumors coming out of City Hall that many of the sitting City Council Members secretly hope for this to happen. It would move up the time frame for the next Mayoral election. It would become a special election, helping the Council Members (who are already scheming) and harming those who were better prepared to wait for 2013.

Barack Obama is doomed to fail in the 2012 election because his Socialist ideology does not create jobs, it only creates pain. Voters will punish him for his incompetence in 2012 and elect a Republican President.

A new President will be looking for a new Attorney General. Should Cooley choose to arrest and prosecute Villaraigosa, he will have a long and impressive list of deposed, corrupt political figures on his resumé.

He would be a top choice for Attorney General of the United States in 2012.

Will Steve Cooley listen to me? Who knows?

My open campaigning for the arrest of Alarcon and the City of Bell officials certainly didn't hurt.

The arrest and prosecution of Antonio Villaraigosa is another long term goal of mine, and with a little luck and some hard work, it may just become a reality.

Governor Rick Perry of Texas is still my top choice for the GOP nomination for President in 2012.

His record of being Governor of Texas for ten years is impressive.

Perry is pro-life, pro-guns, and pro-business.

Anti-taxes and anti-government interference.

He and his gang of bicycle activists take to the streets and disrupt commerce throughout Los Angeles on 10-10-10.

Especially disturbing is the woman at 8:30 of the video who talks about "education".

Yeah. I know what type of education she's talking about.

Re-education camps.

Such disturbing nonsense from the left.

And of course Box, being a liberal, had to put that buffoon Antonio Villaraigosa in the video.

Hint to voters: If Antonio Villaraigosa supports something, it is usually in your best interest to be against it.

"Viva La Ciclavia" shouts one supporter.

These people are all watermelons. Green on the outside, red on the inside.

They want nothing more than to use force to make you live in their version of a fantasy world.

Christine O'Donnell for US Senate!

I'm proud to announce on my blog today that I am endorsing Christine O'Donnell for the U.S. Senate seat in Delaware. In fact, I plan on donating to her campaign by the end of the week.

Liberals and the media have had great fun beating up on Christine O"Donnell, because they are misogynists -- they hate women. The very idea of Christine O'Donnell in the US Senate makes them apoplectic.

TV show host Bill Maher seems to have made it a point of his to try to personally destroy Christine O'Donnell in order to boost ratings on his talk show. He has been dragging out old video clips from the 1990s to ridicule O'Donnell for some of the odd things she had said before she became a political candidate. I find Mahers attitude hateful, and his commentary towards O'Donnell is juvenile, spiteful and beneath contempt.

I will be the first to admit that O'Donnell is a bit colorful. She is certainly not your average career politician.

I mean, come on... when was the last time you saw a politician put out a commercial denying that she is a witch? If you were a late night talk show host, that is comedy gold. I didn't like this commercial and I don't care for the "I'm You" stuff. She should be beating up on her opponent about his attraction to Obama's Socialist ways.

If she was going to bring up the witch comments, she should have used this cute ad that someone else designed for her, based on the old TV series "Bewitched". I think it's better than her current ads.

Liberals have many reasons to fear Christine O'Donnell. The number one reason is that she is tough.

Unbeknownst to most media pundits, O'Donnell has actually already run for the US Senate as the GOP candidate in Delaware. She ran against Joe Biden in 2008 and lost, 65-35.

She decided to take on a man who hadn't lost an election in 30 years.

That shows courage and conviction to me. That's why I like her.

She believed in herself when others didn't.

The reason the liberals are flipping out right now is that her 35% in 2008 might grow to 51%, when you calculate in the average American and their dislike for current government policies. Tea Party activism will get her past the 40% mark. And voters in Delaware will have to take it from there.

Don't be surprised to watch election returns on November 2nd and see her win her election.

The behavior from the left might possibly backfire. Their hatred and vitriol towards her is not going unnoticed.

It's never impressive to pick on a girl. But Christine should thank them.

Christine O'Donnell has never won an election, but the liberals, along with their supporters in the media, are making her one of the most famous political figures in America.

Bicycle freaks close city, disrupt commerce

My work was interfered with, simply so that some singular bicycle freak could ride unmolested on Wilshire Boulevard at 10 a.m.

Wilshire is one of the busiest streets in the City!

It was a horror show of liberal, Socialist ideology.

This really pisses me off.

The nutty bicycle enthusiasts and their gang leader Stephen Box will wreak havoc on LA roads tomorrow by blocking off many streets just so that these selfish hobbyists can enjoy themselves. At taxpayer expense, of course!! How wonderful!! They call it Ciclavia.

It will interfere with commerce, trade, and jobs. All because they have some nutty liberal Socialist ideology about saving the world. I know, because I have to work tomorrow and these nutty liberals will be directly interfering with my life and my earning a living. But they don't care about me... you see.. they are saving the world, like all good liberals do.

Here is some of their Socialist claptrap -- talking about rainbows and lollipops and all that bullshit.

We are currently preparing for Los Angeles’ first “open-street” Sunday. Seven and a half miles of streets will be car-free from 10 AM - 3 PM on Sunday October 10th 2010. The streets will be safe for people to walk, skate, play and ride a bike. There will be activities along the route. Shop owners and restaurants are encouraged to open their doors to people along the CicLAvia.

A Ciclovía is not just for recreation. It is social integration.

The National Organization of Women gives an endorsement to California Gubernatorial Candidate Jerry Brown just one day after Brown was caught calling his opponent Meg Whitman a "whore".

That's those classy liberals for you.

Hypocrisy is totally OK with them.

Just as long as it suits their needs.

Jail Time For Fredo?

The are unconfirmed rumors spilling out of downtown offices that Richard Alarcon wants to "cop a plea" and avoid jail time for his felony voter registration fraud. His resignation and removal from City Council are a given. The concept of potential jail time for the "Fredo Corleone" of L.A. City politics, however, still hovers in the air.

Those in the know are hinting at the fact that the over 30 charges between he and his wife might just be a bit too much for the District Attorney to look the other way. Alarcon is in full damage-control mode right now.

Voters of the 7th Council District should be calling for Alarcons head right now.

District Attorney Steve Cooley might be about to make them very happy.

Sources are saying that Alarcon probably won't be able to avoid jail time.

I know this makes me very happy.

I have an intense dislike of Alarcon, based on his pathological dishonesty and his tendency to fill city positions with talentless relatives.

Now, with the revelation in media sources that Alarcon had almost no power or water use at his phony residence ... we may be seeing the final days of Richard Alarcon.

His career is over. His reputation in tatters.

Because just like Fredo Corleone, he thought he was smarter than everyone else.

We all know how things ended for Fredo.

Alarcon will probably only serve a small amount of time behind bars.

Havana, 2005

It seems as though California Gubernatorial candidate Jerry Brown and I share something in common.

We both like to visit Cuba. However, my visit did not include socializing with CIA traitors and assassins.

My visit did also not include a four hour limo ride with Fidel Castro.

Why did I go to Cuba? Curiosity, basically.

I wanted to go see what the United States government was so afraid of.

As it turns out, the US government has nothing to fear.

Fidel Castros Cuba is a complete disaster. I doubt they could defend themselves militarily if they had to.

Most citizens cannot get their hands on simple staples like vitamins.... or toilet paper!

Castros Communism has destroyed the Cuban economy.

Most people have almost no income and most are dependent on the government for housing and food.

He has infantilized the nation and they have no future.

There are no inventions and no progress being made there.

Most buildings are in a terrible state of disrepair. There are American cars from the 1950s still cruising the streets.... out of necessity . The few industries that the Cubans do well.... like sugar and cigars, have fallen to pathetic levels.

Occasional brownouts shut things down, as the Cuban power grid cannot support everything it needs to.

I read a travel guide before leaving and as requested, I brought an extra suitcase filled with vitamins, tampons, condoms, aspirin, toilet paper, razors and other hard-to-get items for the Cuban people.

There was a funny moment in Mexican customs where I had to explain why I had 20 boxes of tampons in my suitcase... I told them they were gifts for my friends in Cuba... that said it all.

No further explanation was necessary.

I enjoyed my time in Cuba. I would gladly go back, but it is difficult to see people suffering like that.

For all their personal struggles, the Cuban people are very warm and friendly.

I'll never forget the first night I stayed there... in a Casa Particular on Avenida De Los Presidentes.

I was hanging out the window of the 14th floor room, and looking down at the young Cubans on the street. They were playing a radio and singing and dancing in the park ... without a care in the world.

I've been in over 40 countries and I had never seen such a carefree, happy, and open people like the Cubans.

But that is because they don't know what they are missing. They have never experienced real freedom. They have no hope or expectations for a better life, so they tend to live in the moment.

As one of my Cuban friends told me, even if Castro lifted the travel ban... most Cubans could never leave because they couldn't pay to get out of Cuba. They have no real money. Cuban pesos are worthless.

I know this travel could get me in trouble, but I don't care.

The US government has no right to tell me what countries I can and cannot visit.

Once you start doing that, you are no better than the commies.

The Soviet Union, Communist China, and Communist Cuba.... they get to tell their people where they cannot travel.

I am an American. I will go wherever I want.

I'm an Oathkeeper. The order denying me that travel right is an illegal order, and I will not follow it.

Villaraigosa hated by many Angelenos

A stunning new poll by the LA Weekly reveals that Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa only received 4 votes as a rating of being a "Super" Mayor.

He received about 1,800 votes as being "dismal".

Sounds about right.

He has been a catastrophe and stood by and watched as our City careened into a $400 million budget crisis.

He keeps talking about jobs,which are non-existent in this business-hating City.

My Meg Whitman lesson....

I learned this week from Meg Whitman that when you have a potential political problem, you need to address it and get it out of the way. I say this for a reason.

In June of 2009, I attended a party held at the Playboy Mansion.

It was Kim Kardashian's Aces and Angels Celebrity Poker Tournament.

I sat at a table right next to Billy Burke, who plays the role of Bella's dad in the "Twilight" movies.

Actress Shannon Elizabeth, who was in the "American Pie" movies, was also at my table.

I played very well, and got knocked out in 14th place, barely missing the final table.

I was knocked out of the tournament by Jeff Madsen, a professional who has won two World Series of Poker bracelets. (And I had him beat before and after the flop.)

I had some photos taken of myself with various people at the party.

Unfortunately, some of them were not good choices for someone who wants to be an elected official.

Alex Datig on Fox

I recently got to know Alex Datig at a campaign fundraising event for Meg Whitman.

She is part of the "No on 19" organization that is promoting defeat of the possible legalization of marijuana that is coming up on the ballot this November.

She has some great stories to tell, and I enjoyed meeting her.

I think her efforts will be successful, and Prop 19 will be defeated

... but not by much.
