The Dark Lord: Not dark enough for Sunland-Tujunga?

I knew things had been a little too quiet in Council District 2.

The Dark Lord is always up to no good, but in some periods he is a little more quiet than in others.

Most recently, somehow, Councilman Paul Krekorian has offended and riled the NIMBYs of Sunland Tujunga.

Dan McManus, the President of the Sunland Tujunga Neighborhood Council, writes a puffed up letter about this "terrible" Samoa project -- which will bring subsidized housing to Sunland-Tujunga!!

Horror of horrors.

(Does Dan McManus hate poor people? I thought liberals loved them...)

Strangely enough, I agree with the NIMBYs of Sunland Tujunga.

Not for their phony reasons of "environmental impact"...

I generally do not agree with the government spending money to create housing. That is the job of the private sector.

I also don't think the government should be wasting money on building subsidized housing in this economy. There are foreclosures everywhere! Why build new?

The NIMBYS want Krekorian to put a stop to this project.

In their minds, The Dark Lord is not meddling enough in the lives of others.

That's a frightening thought.
