Happy Birthday to President Ronald Reagan!!

Today would have been President Ronald Reagans 99th birthday.

I salute him for all he accomplished to keep our country great.
When I was in the military, he was my Commander-In-Chief.
His pride in our military always increased morale.

He helped end Communism in the Soviet Union and in Eastern Europe.
Hundreds of millions of people are free today because of him.

He is a tough act to follow.

My comments at Griffith Park Wayist

Joseph Mailander runs a pretty far-left blog at Griffith Park Wayist.
Some of the far-left liberals from Mayor Sam have taken up residence there lately.
They chose to call me out on my recall efforts.

This was my response.

Wow! I missed all the excitement by not reading the Wayist for a few days. Been too busy. Here is an exclusive. The recall is going to happen. Momentum is building and progress is starting to snowball. Soon this thing will have achieved a specific gravity of its own. About my apparent "flip-flop"?? Not accurate. If you read my blog, you will find that I am a Goldwater Republican. I am firmly behind the belief that the government has no right to make marijuana illegal. That type of thinking leads to fascism, which is what I am fighting. A government that declares marijuana illegal can declare roses or tomatoes to be illegal also. A chilling thought there. I do think the government has the right to license businesses open to the public for the matter of public safety. I DID say in my blog that Nuch should shut down all the illegal ones if he is going to enforce the law. But I don't agree with the law in this matter. While I do not agree with the marijuana dispensary owners and do not share most of their goals, we do have a common cause.... The elimination of fascism from our government. Paul Koretz deciding that voters here no longer have the right to get their cats declawed. Grieg Smith and Tom LaBonge deciding that restaurant owners who specifically built patios for their smoking customers can no longer allow people to smoke OUTSIDE OF THE RESTAURANT in the areas specifically created for that!! These people are freedom-hating liberals. I will work hard to ensure their defeat and removal from office. If 1000 marijuana activists are willing to join my cause, then so be it.

Villaraigosa to make excuses at 3:45 p.m.

City-destroying Socialist Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa is holding a press conference today at 3:45 p.m. where he will predictably launch a new wave of excuses for his poor leadership and the current budget crisis.

Blah, blah, blah....these are tough economic conditions....blah, blah, blah...
Nobody could have foreseen the economic crisis... blah, blah, blah.
Immediate action is needed.....

He is right about one thing. Immediate action is needed. It was actually needed in March 2009 when he ran for re-election.

Jennerjahn Solutions : Cut the pensions

The first item that I would have addressed if I had become Mayor in 2009 would be the City Pensions - a huge albatross around the neck of City finances.

The pensions need to be reduced. Labor Unions cut too many sweetheart deals.
Incompetent politicians stood by and watched. Now the weight of it is dragging everything under.

Tell the Unions they have to accept a 20% pension payment cut.
If they don't like that...there is a second option.
The City declares bankruptcy and the pension people get nothing.

A 20% cut in pensions would help Los Angeles out of the financial hole it is currently in.

General Complaints Against City Council

I am currently drafting the recall language against every City Council Member.
One thing they have in common is that they voted to TRIPLE the parking meter rates, which is an egregious move that shocks and offends voters who are already paying high taxes and fees.

If you are interested in having any verbage specific to your issue mentioned in the recall petitions, please list them in the comments section here.

I am sure the general public has complaints against the City Council that I am not even aware of.

www.RecallCityHall.org

We have a bare minimum web page up as we go forward with the recall process.
Things are moving quickly on many fronts.

The dispensary owners are not happy about City Hall legislating them out of a job.

They are being very generous in getting us started.

PETITION TO RECALL MAYOR ANTONIO VILLARAIGOSA

PETITION TO RECALL MAYOR ANTONIO VILLARAIGOSA

Committee of proponents who are registered voters of the City of Los Angeles sponsoring the Recall petition:

Phil Jennerjahn David Hernandez

STATEMENT OF REASONS FOR PROPOSED RECALL

We, the undersigned voters of the City of Los Angeles do hereby petition The Los Angeles City Clerks Office for redress of our grievances and do hereby request a Recall Election to be held - for cause - against Mayor Antonio Villarigosa.

Despite record income over the last five years, Mayor Villaraigosa has led the City down a path of reckless and irresponsible spending that would have been avoided by a more professional and logical City Official. In the face of a crushing recession, the Mayor actually accelerated spending and hiring to the point that the City may have to declare BANKRUPTCY before the end of 2010. While he is now asking City officials to eliminate 1000 city jobs, the Mayor has selfishly refused to fire a single member of his enormous staff - including 16 Deputy Mayors and 93 personal staff members. In 2009, the Mayor offered a 3.9 BILLION dollar contract to the IBEW (Electricians Union) for the potential construction of solar panels. The no-bid contract, awarded without competition to his political supporters, creates the appearance of corruption and collusion, and would have increased costs for citizens of Los Angeles. Voters rejected the idea (Measure B) at the polls in March 2009. We, the undersigned, believe that his continued status as Mayor of Los Angeles endangers the rights and freedoms of all citizens now living under his legal control. We hereby petition for his removal.

We, the undersigned, do hereby solemnly swear or affirm that the statements made in this document are truthful and factual, to the best of our knowledge.
