The Danger of Liberalism

If you are a Liberal Democrat, you think that the shooting of 20 schoolchildren is such a tragedy that you want all guns banned. If you are a Conservative Republican, you think that tyrannical governments murdering over 100 million people is such a tragedy that you don't want anyone to be unarmed.

My thoughts on Newtown, Connecticut

If you haven't been able to guess from my posts over the last few days, I'm not one of these touchy-feely liberals who feels the need to pass a new law every time something bad happens.

I'm a Conservative. And Conservatives understand that there is only so much you can control in life. And the misbehavior of others is not one of them.

Sure, the elementary school shooting at Newtown was a tragedy, but our lives are filled with tragedies.

Planes crash, ships sink, tornados and hurricanes kill hundreds...sometimes thousands. And there is not a damn thing we can do about it.

Sadly, the loony liberals are all apoplectic and righteously indignant all over the airwaves right now. Nutty CNN host Piers Morgan is demanding we ban all firearms with automatic capacity.

Well...he's a nut who hasn't done his homework. Australia tried banning firearms a few years back... and crime rates skyrocketed!! Why? Because the people who weren't going to follow the ban suddenly knew that most people in their society had been disarmed.

It doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out their reaction to that fact.

Also, another reason you don't ban firearms is because they are our last resort against tyranny.

We already have a President who decided that you don't have freedom of choice as to whether or not you buy health insurance. He has also been busy seizing car companies and banks.

Do I foresee a time when we Americans will have to take up arms against our leaders? For the time being, I would say no. But world history has shown us that situations can devolve very quickly.

Five years ago, the citizens in Libya and Syria certainly didn't think that their government would be gunning them down in the streets in 2012, but it happened. You always have to beware of the possibility of a total lunatic taking control of the government. History teaches us that it happens often...and in every possible corner of the globe.

I think the better reaction to a situation like Newtown, Connecticut would be to allow massive amounts of concealed-carry permits. Many of these school-shooting situations like Columbine and Virginia Tech could have been stopped quickly by the presence of just one more person with a gun.

Even a loony who is suicidal and intent on killing others sees his options drop dramatically when confronted by another armed individual. And that is the way I would prefer it.

Because when seconds counted, the Newtown Police were only 20 minutes away.

The Fight for Freedom

There is a fight for freedom going on in America today.

A fight between the liberal progressive Democrats, who believe that government is the answer to every problem, and the freedom-loving Conservatives, who pretty much believe the opposite.

This is a cultural war, and only one side can win.

#JohnnyFootball

This is Jonathan Manziel from tiny Kerrville, Texas (population 22, 826)

At Texas A&M, he is also known as "Johnny Football". Tonight he will probably become the first freshman player to ever win The Heisman Trophy, the most prestigious individual award in American collegiate athletics. He is a humble kid from a small town in Texas who -- six weeks ago -- could never have imagined that this could happen. I couldn't be happier for him. #JohnnyFootball

An update on The 2013 Los Angeles Mayors Race

According to the Los Angeles City Clerks Office, there are 8 qualified candidates who will be on the ballot for Mayor, with one more possibly being qualified. That means there will be a maximum of nine candidates, making this number of candidates a smaller number than in 2009, when a sitting Mayor was running for re-election. That is a bit of an oddity, if you think about it. It is highly likely that potential or prospective candidates may have been frightened away by the possibility of both Rick Caruso and Zev Yaroslavsky running for Mayor. However, both declined their opportunity to possibly take up residence in the Mayors office on Spring Street.

I'm not going to waste time talking about the unknown or underfunded candidates. They are not going to rise up and defeat a career politician who has been repeatedly elected by the voters of this city. It is a lesson I wish I had learned before running for Mayor myself in 2009.

There are four people who can be the next Mayor of Los Angeles.

In order....

1. ERIC GARCETTI

Eric Garcetti is a smooth, polished, career politician. He has a legacy name and a built-in constituency, as most of the voters in his 13th Council District will likely vote for him in the election. He has shown his poise and character over several years while serving as President of the City Council. He is calm and respectful of others at Council meetings, while some of the other blowhards on the Council are often seen losing their composure and shouting at various local gadflies and activists during contentious Council meetings. Garcetti has an intangible quality that is deadly with the voters....

It is difficult to find people in Los Angeles who hate Eric Garcetti.

It's true.

Garcetti is so smooth and measured in his professional behavior. He tries his best to avoid offending anyone with his policies or decisions. It is very difficult to beat a politician like that. He is the overwhelming favorite right now. I don't see any way that he doesn't make the runoff.

Voter response in March: 33% of the vote
Odds to make May Runoff: 80%

2. WENDY GREUEL

"The Pixie", as I like to call her, is a much more dangerous opponent than anyone realizes. As I said in a previous blog post, "Wendy is very low-key about the way she sticks daggers in the backs of the other candidates. You almost don't notice her doing it."

She will, no doubt, be coming up with some surprise piece of information that cripples the appeal of other candidates to City voters. Don't count her out. If she gets one on one with Garcetti, the media will go nuts about possibly having a woman serve as Mayor. She is Garcettis biggest threat, and don't think that he isn't spending time on a game plan against her.

Voter response in March: 22% of the vote
Odds to make May Runoff: 66%

3. JAN PERRY

"The Hamburglar" has another built-in constituency with her 9th Council District voters. Perry is a bruiser from Cleveland who has no problem stepping on other peoples toes. Unlike Garcetti, it is fairly easy to locate political enemies of Jan Perry. City Attorney Carmen "Nuch" Trutanich threatened to throw her in jail over some of her shady dealings with corporate giant AEG. Perry will get a dominating percentage of the African-American voting block and might even win over some of the female voters who don't care for Wendy Greuel. But overall, Perry is not as popular among the Democratic voters of this city as either Garcetti or Greuel. She has a lot of work to do to catch them. Perry should have dropped down to the race for Controller and tried to win there. Her built-in constituency could have sent her to a June runoff for that spot.

Voter response in March: 19% of the vote
Odds to make May Runoff: 33%

4. KEVIN JAMES

I don't agree with Kevin James on every political issue, but of the four candidates, he is the only one I could consider voting for. He's not a Big Government Socialist like the other three candidates. Kevin will get a massive percentage of the Conservative/Republican voter base here in Los Angeles. The problem for Kevin is that the Republican percentage of the overall vote is not enough on its own for him to win or even make the runoff. It is most likely that the next Mayor of Los Angeles will be a liberal Democrat. That's just how this City rolls. Sickening, but true. I add a caveat that James is supposedly going to get support from a Republican super-pac for funding, but that money has yet to be seen. James is not as well-known as the other candidates, and he can take no comfort from the fact that this city has elected a repulsive degenerate like Antonio Villaraigosa...  twice.

Voter response in March: 18% of the vote
Odds to make May Runoff: 20%

Sarah Palin: Barack Obama is a Socialist!

Sarah Palin, responding to a question from Sean Hannity on "Hannity".

"Yeah, well first...let's address President Obamas flip-flop on his philosophy there when it comes to raising the debt ceiling. He certainly condemned President Bush in those years of raising the debt ceiling. And then.. uh...look at where he's taken this country. He's taken us into a state of bankruptcy with his changed idea on it being a good thing to raise the debt ceiling. A very scary proposal was recently revealed too, by Geithner, uh...essentially saying 'let the President have free reign' on raising the debt ceiling to whatever level he wants it. That's a very scary thought because Barack Obama is a Socialist. He believes in Socialism...in redistributing wealth...in confiscating hard-earned dollars of our small businessmen and women...so that they cannot re-invest their dollars and hire more people and grow and expand. Instead he believes in these failed Socialist policies. And I say that not to personally condemn our President, but I say it because I face reality and I see what's going on and I see the path that we are on. And the fact that Barack Obama has not  had a budget in the four years that he's been in office and not been worried about it and continues to spend recklessly other peoples money and that is a sign of that idea of loving Socialism."

Memo to Dianne Feinstein & Bob Costas:

The Second Amendment exists to protect us from exactly the type of tyranny inflicted by British forces on American Colonists in the mid-to-late 1700s. Our Founding Fathers never wanted to see that again.

Sure, the misuse of firearms can cause misery. But the lack of them can cause a lot worse.

History has taught us that unarmed populations are the ones that are most likely to be enslaved and slaughtered.

December 1, 1955 : Rosa Parks Day

Today is the anniversary of the day in 1955 that civil rights legend Rosa Parks was arrested on a public bus for refusing to give up her seat to a white man and move to the back of the bus to sit in the "colored" section.

It is a reminder of the fact that, as a society, we need to be very careful about the laws that we are willing to inflict on others.

Sometimes the law itself is immoral or unjust.

And those are the laws need to be eliminated or changed.

President Santa!!

President Santa was out campaigning today for votes for a new debt ceiling and massive tax hikes on the wealthy.

His message was simple.

Look at all these toys.

Think of the children!

If Republicans won't vote for more taxes and more spending, then we won't be able to send out all these wonderful toys!!

It is disgusting that this man is President of The United States.

More libel, slander, and open bias from Los Angeles area media

Today I am going to talk about the libel, slander and open media bias that a Conservative candidate has to deal with when running for office in a liberal county like Los Angeles County. The media here are all far-leftists: ideologues who worship Obama and Socialism and are horrified by the mere mention of Conservative principles. In fact, their fear goes so far as to affect their coverage of political races.

Media objectivity here in Los Angeles is a bad joke. I'll explain why...

Look at this screen shot of a website -- supposedly "media" -- operating out of Burbank, California called "Burbank 'n Beyond". In this webpage, Craig Sherwood slanders and libels me because of some petty disputes I have had with his organization in the past. Sherwood states that I was not endorsed by the California Republican Party -- when in fact a quick 3-second check of their website would have revealed that his statement was factually incorrect. Sherwood makes a statement to slander me when the real facts are clearly obtainable as being the opposite of what he states to the public. I think I have a legal course of action for slander and libel, and it is something I will have to consider.

On his webpage, Sherwood also calls me "grandstanding". That's interesting, as I was probably one of the most low-key Congressional candidates in the United States of America! I held no campaign events. I didn't knock on a single door. I didn't shake a single hand or kiss a single baby. I only attended one event, and that was a debate/forum held by the League of Womens Voters at Burbank City Hall.

Sherwoods comment is nothing but a petty cheap shot at me, and I'll explain why he did it.

The people over at Burbank n' Beyond were mad at me for refusing to pay for advertising with them. I was offended by this "pay-to-play" offer by them and refused it immediately. I also called them out publicly for their bias on Twitter.... pointing out that they participate in "Press Release" journalism, by basically re-printing any ridiculous press release made by an elected official. No opposition is allowed to be mentioned. Even though the website eventually caved to the pressure of being called a biased media source by a Congressional candidate, they still did nothing for me until a day or two before the election. Here is another screenshot showing their unbelievable bias....

This screenshot is dated October 30th. One week before the election. And if you searched for the name of the Republican Nominee for Congress in that District? Zero. Nada.

Unreal.

And they weren't the only offenders. There were many others.

The Los Feliz Ledger was another media source that engaged in "Press Release" journalism. Here is a screenshot of Mike Gatto, Tom La Bonge and Adam Schiff all being allowed to write their own stories and have them published word-for-word. Their opposition? Yeah, right. It is very difficult to defeat an incumbent politician. It is extra difficult when the media is doing their work for them.

West Hollywood Patch did a cheerful folksy story about Adam Schiff learning his way around "his" new District...even though he hadn't been elected yet. Coverage of me offered for fairness? Zero.

Here's a screenshot from another media source... The Burbank Leader. Again, if you search my name, you will find that the Republican Nominee for Congress does not exist. This search was done on August 22nd, just a few months before the election. Vote-by-mail ballots were already being prepared.

Sometimes the media would actually give you a little bit of a sniff, but they would make sure to demonize or denigrate you to the readers. The Daily News labelled me as a "far-right" candidate.

How exactly am I "far-right"? Adam Schiff believed in abortion and government seizure and Socialization of the entire health care field, but did any media dare call him a far-left or Socialist candidate?

Of course not.

I could go on and on, but I am going to stop now, because re-reading all this sickening bias and slander from the media really turns my stomach.

My Top 5 Nicknames for Barack Obama

1. Pharaoh

I use this one because Obama likes to rule by decree, much like the Pharaoh Ramses (above) in "The Ten Commandments."

2. Caesar

I like this one because Obama likes ignore our legal power structure and make himself the law of the land at all times. Like appointing "Czars" to run different aspects of the economy. The very word "Czar" is the Russian form of the word "Caesar".

3. The Manchurian President

This nickname springs from a novel and a film of the same name... "The Manchurian Candidate". The fictional story details how American infantry forces during the Korean War are kidnapped and taken to Manchuria and brainwashed to be "sleeper agents" for the enemies of America.

The correlation here is that Obama has lived in a Muslim country and often takes sides with enemies of our nation, raising questions about his patriotism and his level of loyalty to our nation.

4. President Zero

This refers both to his personal logo, and to the fact that he has produced nothing of value during his Presidency.

5. Dear Leader

This one is a play on words for the affectionate terms given to Communist dictators in Asian countries.

Obama does something right, for once

I have been very open about my public criticism of President Barack Obama. I'm not a fan of his or his political views.

However, every now and then, even people you don't care for can do something right.

President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton travelled this week to Burma (Myanmar) to visit the world-famous political prisoner Aung San Suu Kyi.

Aung San Suu Kyi is the daughter of the man known as the founder of Burma. She has been a political prisoner of the military dictatorship in Burma for a large portion of her life.

She is a huge hero to political rights activists around the world.

The official visit by President Obama was the first time any American President had been to that nation.

The visit by Obama and Clinton sends a message across the world that America does not condone dictatorships, and will work tirelessly to support freedom and free elections wherever and whenever possible.

It is an important message to send, as it promotes our own ideals, values, and ideologies around the globe.

And as much as I can't stand President Obama, I was actually proud of him and Secretary Clinton yesterday. They did the right thing.

And they sent a big message to the rest of the world.

I'm not running for City Council against Paul Koretz

I went to the Los Angeles City Clerks Office last week to take out papers to run for Los Angeles City Council in District 5 against Paul Koretz (a.k.a. The Cat Whisperer).

I did it to give myself more time to think about it. I'm just coming off an election loss in the 28th Congressional District against Adam Schiff. Even though I received over 46,000 votes for U.S. Congress (my best performance ever), it wasn't enough and Schiff defeated me easily in a district that is somewhat liberal.

I finally decided after much thought that I'm not running for Council District 5.

My reasons:

1) I have an overwhelming work schedule right now. I have to work every single day for the next 30 days, leaving me little to no time to run around getting signatures on the petitions the city requires to be on the ballot.

2) The voters in CD 5 are overwhelmingly liberal. If the voters in the 28th didn't care for my hardcore Conservative beliefs, what chance would I have in a District that is even more liberal? I mean...for God's sake....these people voted for the Cat Whisperer!! That fact speaks volumes.

3) The Los Angeles City political scene is so incredibly corrupt that no sitting Councilman has been beaten in an election in over 20 years. I could work my butt off against Koretz and maybe get 30-35% of the vote.... but why? What would be the point? Koretz won't lose, neither will any other sitting City official up for election.

This City faces enormous financial problems in the future due to its corrupt nature and the unreasonable pensions and benefits being doled out to former employees.

But don't worry about that.

Paul Koretz will take care of those precious kitties.

And when it comes to sound city government practices, that is really what it's all about, right?

Ron Paul says good-bye

Texas Congressman Ron Paul says good-bye to politics from the floor of the House of Representatives.

Even though I didn't agree with Ron Paul on several important issues, I did agree with him on about 80% of what he was trying to explain to the American voting public.

He was a good man, an honorable man, and our country will be a poorer place without him.

There was no greater defender of individual liberty in our lifetime.

The GOP needs to answer some tough questions

In light of Mitt Romneys catastrophic and societal-changing loss to Barack Obama on Tuesday, it is time for the future leaders of the GOP to do some soul searching and to look in the mirror and take a long look at the mess we have created for our future with this defeat.

We need to answer some tough questions. Like...

1. Did Mitt Romneys Mormon faith cause him to lose the election?

Answer: It is difficult to say with any certainty. Many Evangelical Christian voters have a difficult time with accepting Mormons. I'm a Catholic myself, and Catholics tend to look at Mormons as being a bit "eccentric". While they are still part of the larger tree of Christianity, many other Christians don't buy into some of their beliefs. The word "cult" gets thrown around by critics of Mormonism. I personally don't condemn them, but many others remain highly skeptical.

In a time of economic crisis, when the country could have used a good businessman like Mitt Romney, Romney actually ended up getting about 2 million fewer votes than John McCain got in 2008. That doesn't make any sense. After four years of Obama, voters should have been running screaming to the polls to get rid of him.

It is highly likely that some Christians couldn't pull the lever for Mitt Romney. I estimate his Mormonism may have possibly cost him up to half a million votes. But many of these votes were coming from states that he won in the election. So I don't think it was a huge factor in his loss.

2. Did Ron Paul or Gary Johnson cause Mitt Romney to lose the election?

Answer: They certainly didn't help him win it! Romney has himself to blame for alienating the Ron Paul supporters. That was an idiotic move. Trampling on their freedom by changing the rules at the Convention only enraged them and made many of them sit this election out. I repeat my comment that Mitt Romney got fewer popular votes than John McCain, and that makes no sense.

People concerned about liberty and freedom should have been voting overwhelmingly for Mitt Romney, but Romneys boneheaded stubborn play at the Convention alienated many potential voters for him. He also should have let Paul speak without demanding some type of oath of sworn fealty from him. That was really shabby and un-Presidential behavior from the Romney camp. Ron Paul is 77 years old and had earned the third highest delegate total in the primaries. This was going to be his last Convention in the spotlight. Would it have really have been so difficult for Romney to let the Convention play out and let the Ron Paul voters vote for Ron Paul? Some of the Paul supporters had waited years for that moment, and Romney stole that from them. So yes, his treatment of Ron Paul cost him hundreds of thousand of votes in the election. Many of those Paul voters voted for Gary Johnson. Others just refused to go vote or left their selection blank in protest.

Gary Johnson got a good chunk of votes in Ohio, Florida and Virginia, but not enough to swing the election towards Romney. Ron Paul supporters have admitted to me that their response was scattered. Some voted for Romney, many voted for Johnson, and some skipped it altogether.

Romneys boneheaded bullying at the GOP National Convention cost him hundreds of thousands of Ron Paul votes and maybe the election.

3. Did Mitt Romneys selection of Paul Ryan as his Vice Presidential choice cause him to lose the election?

Answer: The choice of Ryan certainly didn't help. Ryan was from the blue state of Wisconsin and his selection did not help flip that state in the election. The better choice, and more logical move by Romney, should have been to pick his VP choice from a swing state in order to guarantee that that state had more "skin in the game". Picking Marco Rubio would have absolutely helped Romney make up that 61K vote difference in Florida and most likely would have swung the election to him with the help of an extra million Latino votes. Not picking Rubio was dumb. Plain dumb.

Picking Rob Portman in Ohio might have helped, but could it have made up the 107K vote difference there? Maybe. Picking Bob McDonnell in Virginia might have helped swing that state to Romney, but it is unclear as to the certainty of that. But Rubio would have helped Romney win Florida, which he absolutely needed. So ignoring Rubio for Ryan didn't help him win. It helped him lose.

4. Did Romneys lack of effort with the Latino vote cost him the election?

Answer: Absolutely. In a close election that Romney lost by about 300K votes scattered across a few swing states, there will be nothing but regret in the future for Romney over how his staff actively ignored the Latino vote. Latinos are natural Conservatives, with their family-oriented lifestyle and, for the most of them, their Catholic faith and strong work ethic. It was Romneys hardliner stances against illegal immigration that turned off Latino voters in droves. I'm not saying Romney should have changed his policy views, but he should have spent more time explaining to Latino voters how his policies are actually better than Obamas for their own families and relatives.

Romneys effort here were disheartening to say the least.

5. Did the boneheaded comments about rape by Todd Akin and Richard Mourdock help sink the Romney campaign?

Answer: Yes. 100%. As candidates for some of the highest offices in the country, Akin and Mourdock should have been better-prepared to answer their critics. They should have sat down with a team of advisors and figured out every single attack that would be leveled at them and come up with a way to counter those attacks. The message of this election should have been like the Clinton campaign message years ago "It's the economy, stupid!"

Rambling off into the weeds and making boneheaded comments about rape not only cost Akin and Mourdock their elections, but it also helped to effectively kill Romneys chances. Akin and Mourdock alienated hundreds of thousands of female voters. Romney is not to blame for their mistakes, but Romney had aired a campaign ad for Mourdock in Indiana. That didn't help matters and also gave the Democrats more ammunition against him.

6. Did Chris Christies bear hug of Obama after Hurricane Sandy help Romney lose the election?

Answer: Yes. Christie helped Obama look Presidential by touring around the damaged areas of New Jersey and having press conferences together. In fact, Christie did something that few people have ever done....he made it look like Barack Obama was actually doing his job! Probably cost Romney half a million votes right there.

7. Did Mitt Romney's lack of a coherent message cause his loss?

Answer: It helped. Romney had flip-flopped on so many issues in the past that it was unclear what he actually stood for...what he actually believed. It is difficult to follow a leader like that.

If the GOP was going to lose, I much rather would have gone down with Rick Santorum or Newt Gingrich doing the fighting. Gingrich was so hostile to Obama that you could have put their debate on pay-per-view and sold tickets.

There are many lessons to be learned from Romneys loss. The main ones being:

No more RINOS for Presidential Nominees.

No more squishy moderates.

And no more leaders who can't define who they are or what they stand for.

Mitt Romney (a.k.a. the invisible man) showed us what happens when you roll the dice with someone like that.

"Do not blame Caesar"

"Do not blame Caesar, blame the people of Rome who have so enthusiastically acclaimed and adored him and rejoiced in their loss of freedom and danced in his path and gave him triumphal processions and laughed delightedly at his licentiousness and thought it very superior of him to acquire vast amounts of gold illicitly. Blame the people who hail him when he speaks in the Forum of the 'new, wonderful good society' which shall now be Rome's, interpreted to mean 'more money, more ease, more security, more living fatly at the expense of the industrious.' Julius was always an ambitious villain, but he is only one man."      ---- Marcus Tullius Cicero

November 7th -- The Aftermath

Well, Barack Obama is still Pharaoh.

And that is not a good thing.

The squishy Massachusetts Moderate Mitt Romney tried his best not to offend anyone during his Presidential campaign, and he ended up appealing to almost no one. But taking into account the fact that Democrats tend to cheat heavily in elections, it is quite possible that Romney actually won Ohio and Virginia and Florida and did, indeed, win the election.

However, elections have consequences, and the consequences of this election are so severe that our country will probably not survive it. The looting of the Treasury by the Obama Administration will probably cause a collapse of all economic activity, which in turn will lead to massive unemployment, starvation, a skyrocketing crime rate, armed insurrection in the streets, and eventually a global depression and multiple world wars.

America is now reaping the whirlwind of decades of horrific liberal governmental policies. The two policies most directly responsible for last nights results are abortion and illegal immigration.

Legal abortion in this country destroyed between 40 to 60 million productive future Americans, and along with them all their potential future offspring. So we are basically missing about 80 million Americans right now. That lack of exponential manpower for the subsequent generation caused a labor shortage. The solution, illegal immigration, may be what truly dooms us as a nation. The Reagan Amnesty given to 3 million illegal immigrants in the 1980s only encouraged more of it. The next wave of illegal immigrants certainly brought with them a work ethic -- I don't deny that -- but they did not bring with them American values or respect for our laws. After all, why should they?

They are encouraged to continue their lawbreaking by a tyrant named Barack Obama, who leads by example and enjoys violating our laws daily. Obama is such a vile monster that he will protect his own two illegal immigrant relatives from deportation, while allowing his Justice Department to inflict The Pharaohs Justice and deport tens of thousand of others for the exact same crimes committed by his blood relatives!! But there will be no deportation for the two illegal immigrant Obamas present here in America. Obama is Pharaoh, and he will decide who the law applies to and who it doesn't.

It is no accident that the Latino vote went overwhelmingly for Obama last night.

He's their type of guy.

So Obama will be able to continue to inflict his tyranny on our citizens. Things will probably be far worse for everyone than they were during his first four years. Obama will continue to tell the Catholic Church that their First Amendment rights end where his government power begins. Chilling, but that is our new reality now.

There will be a whole new host of realities after last night.

Republicans basically got obliterated in California last night. More Republican office holders got wiped out by the Pharaoh-induced wave. There will be no stopping them now, as they will create a literal hell on earth for the citizens who live here. Californias government will go bankrupt and fail. There is no mathematical scenario where it can survive...especially when productive individuals start fleeing the tyranny of one-party government. Don't think it will happen? Watch and learn. I've already had several friends leave California. Many more will follow. And the State tax base will go along with them.

My own defeat to Congressman Adam Schiff was actually the least of my worries. I didn't even check the results until long after the 8pm closing of the polls. I knew that I would lose, so I wasn't too worried about it. The voters of the 28th District prefer a really Big Government, the Nanny State, and budget-destroying Socialism. Good luck with that.

I hope the voters in my District really like Adam Schiff, because they are now going to have him in office for at least 10 more years. After the ass-kicking he gave me, no well-financed Republican candidate is going to waste his time with running in that district. The only chance Schiff goes out in the future is like the Howard Berman situation, where redistricting changes the lines on the map and he gets squeezed out by a fellow Democrat.

I'm somewhat satisfied with my results. I would have liked to perform a little bit better, but I had less than $10,000 to run my campaign. I never took a penny from anyone, and I did everything on my own...and I still got 24% of the vote. It was an uphill battle all the way, but I am proud of how I represented Conservative values and helped spread our message at my debate with Adam Schiff.

I don't see much of a a future for Republicans here in California. I'm not sure that I will ever try for elected office again. Maybe I will, maybe I won't. If I do, it might not be here.

After last nights destructive election results, I will have to seriously think about whether or not I will even be living in California in the future. I refuse to live with deadbeat neighbors who feel they are entitled to their "fair share" of my paycheck.

I won't do it. It's as simple as that.

On Election Eve

In 2000, Chicago-area voters rejected Barack Obama and elected Bobby Rush to be their Congressman from Illinois' 1st District. But a short eight years later, some of those very same voters who had previously rejected Barack Obama would help elect him President of the United States. In 1994, voters in Massachusetts rejected Mitt Romney and re-elected Ted Kennedy as their United States Senator. But a short eight years later, some of those very same voters who had rejected him before would help elect Mitt Romney as Governor of Massachusetts. And tomorrow, many of those same voters who rejected him in 1994 will cast a ballot in hopes of making Mitt Romney the 45th President of the United States.

Tomorrow I will face incumbent Congressman Adam Schiff in the 28th Congressional District of California. He has the strategic advantage of having held his current political office for ten years and he also has a few million dollars in his election campaign account, which doesn't hurt. Being that about 70% of the voters in my district cast a vote for Barack Obama in 2008, it is difficult for me to envision a situation in which they would choose a Conservative Republican over a Liberal Democrat.

In my campaign, I presented straight Conservative viewpoints and ideologies to the voters. I did not take it easy on Adam Schiff, and he definitely noticed.

Win or lose tomorrow, I am proud of what I have already accomplished in this race. In my previous two attempts at elected office, I didn't even make it past the primaries. This time I was victorious on June 5th, and made it onto the ballot in a General Election for the first time ever. I accomplished many new milestones on this journey, including having my first televised debate with a political opponent. And there are many more to come. Tomorrow I am going to achieve new personal records for myself. I will receive the highest number of votes ever in my political career. I will also receive the highest percentage of the vote I have ever had in my career.

It probably won't be enough to defeat Adam Schiff, but I don't view political defeat as the end of the world. Sometimes you have to present yourself to voters a few times before they finally see the wisdom of choosing you. I have not yet achieved my goal of becoming an elected leader in this country. But I sense that I am making positive steps in that direction. Every election for me has been a positive step up the ladder. Barack Obama and Mitt Romney didn't let previous election defeats deter them from trying again, and I certainly won't let a defeat tomorrow stop me from trying to win in the future.

Eventually, voters changed their minds about Barack Obama and Mitt Romney. After rejecting them in the past, they eventually saw their way to electing them to some of the highest political positions in this country.

I hope that someday in the future, the voters will have this same change of heart about me.

Romney's closing argument

I liked the part where he said he wouldn't spend four years blaming his predecessor.

That was a good line.

I also liked that he talked about jobs and growth and the future.

I'm not a big fan of his, but I will be voting for him.

Hopefully, he can turn things around.

Obama has been terrifying the job creators. I know this for a fact.

The Two Faces of Adam Schiff

In a previous blog post, I mentioned that I had thought up two specific situations that proved that Adam Schiff was a phony. A career politician that will say and do anything to stay in elected office.

Schiff admitted to me at the debate that he has no plans to leave his Congressional seat. He plans to be there for life. I certainly hope that the voters will disagree with him on Tuesday. People with those type of entitlement attitudes tend to be horrific leaders, given enough time.

But Adam Schiff has recently hit a new high, or a new low, depending on how you look at it.

Adam Schiff has been so phony, so incredibly two-faced and supplicant to various special interest groups that he has earned the endorsement from two groups of people who should be mortal enemies.

The first endorsement didn't surprise me.

CAIR...the Council on American Islamic Relations.. endorsed Schiff in District 28 over me.

No surprises there, as I have been very public about my rather dim view of Islam and its followers.
Muslims who follow Islam seek to destroy all other cultures and religions on earth. They seek to establish a Global Caliphate and subjugate all human beings on the planet to their rule.

I'm not a fan of this faith, or its goals. To be quite honest, any political organization with half a brain should reject this religion whose followers continually publicly espouse a fanatical, genocidal hatred of Jewish people.

I have been very public about my belief that we can never truly be friends with people who have these values. I personally don't want to be friends with any country that openly expresses a desire to harm the people of Israel. However, that is no problem for Congressman Schiff. His morals are a bit more flexible than mine. The Muslims feel that Schiff is their man...that he is working towards their goals.

The Muslims support Schiff, and view him as an ally to their cause.
Being that Adam Schiff is Jewish himself, I find the whole thing very disturbing - on many levels.

Amazingly enough, Schiff has also earned a second endorsement from a group that has very opposite interests.

The Armenian National Committee of America, or ANCA, has endorsed Schiff in District 28 also. The amazing thing here is that they also believe Schiff is working towards their goals.

The Armenians, who are Christians, have very different goals from the Muslims. The Muslims in Turkey committed genocide against the Armenians...very specifically because they were Christians...and nearly obliterated their entire culture...killing over 1.5 million Armenians from 1915-1923. As a result of the genocide, a large number of Armenians are refugees, scattered across various countries of the world....many of them living in Glendale, California, which is part of my District.

Schiff has earned their favor by being politically pliable. By pandering to them and saying to them that he seeks justice for the Armenians from the Muslims in Turkey. His pandering to the Armenian community is very similar to how Adam Schiff is currently pandering to the gay community of West Hollywood. Schiff is telling the gays that he supports gay marriage, even though previously as a State Senator, he had absolutely no record of writing legislation for gay marriage. The subject of gay marriage was not politically trendy 10 years ago when he served in the State Senate.  Back then it couldn't buy him any votes, so he didn't give a damn about it.

Me? In sharp contrast to Adam Schiff, I have marched right into West Hollywood City Council chambers and told them that I don't support gay marriage now...nor will I be supporting it in the future. This behavior certainly didn't buy me any votes...because unlike Schiff, my values are not flexible.

I understand ANCA choosing Schiff over me because Schiff has been pandering to them for about a decade. Of course, no results for them, but plenty of promises and hot air. Me, on the other hand, I openly told ANCA that the past was the past, and that the Muslims in Turkey had no regrets about what they had done to their ancestors...and that their bigger worry was not what the Muslims had done in the past, but what they planned to do to them in the future. Of course, this wasn't pandering -- but rather, the truth, and the leaders at ANCA didn't care to hear it.

So...in summary...

The Gays of West Hollywood are supporting Adam Schiff because of his pandering towards gay marriage. Schiff is supported by the gays -- along with the Muslims (who are known for their hostility towards and mis-treatment of gays) and the Christian Armenians (who don't approve of gay marriage).

The Armenians of ANCA are supporting Adam Schiff, along with the Muslims (who slaughtered their ancestors) and the gays (who demand Schiff cater to their non-Christian gay marriage demands)

The Muslims of CAIR are supporting Adam Schiff, a Jewish politician -- along with the Gays of West Hollywood (for whom they have nothing but contempt) and the Armenians of ANCA (whose culture they tried to exterminate).

Wow. Take a minute to wrap your head around that one.

I've been racking my brain for days. How do you beat a candidate who is so morally bankrupt, and so incredibly two-faced that he has everyone supporting him?

I'm starting to think...maybe you don't.
