Today is the anniversary of the day in 1955 that civil rights legend Rosa Parks was arrested on a public bus for refusing to give up her seat to a white man and move to the back of the bus to sit in the "colored" section.
It is a reminder of the fact that, as a society, we need to be very careful about the laws that we are willing to inflict on others.
Sometimes the law itself is immoral or unjust.
And those are the laws need to be eliminated or changed.
