Mid - December Update

There is a reason I haven't been posting on my blog much anymore.

Actually, several reasons....

I took a new job in March that was more time-consuming. I have had less time to write and follow political issues.

Another reason is that my blog had limited readership. I think I'm only up to 250,000 hits after four years and over 1,000 posts.

I think I get a bigger impact from my efforts on Facebook and Twitter.

So I've been spending more of my time there.

Yet another reason is that I might be done, politically speaking.

I have been looking at the 2014 election races and I do not see a good spot for me that would either give me a better result than my loss in 2012 to Congressman Adam Schiff, or that would help to build my name recognition for a future victory.

I wanted to be an elected official and rise to a very high position, but that might not happen.

I am reviewing my options and will be choosing my path for 2014 soon.

Thank You, President Reagan!!

For all my friends who are thanking Veterans for their service today, I would like to remind you that those Veterans act under orders from their commanding officers, and for better or for worse, they bear the direct brunt of decisions made by those leaders. Today I would like to thank my former Commander-in-Chief Ronald Reagan for his moral leadership. He decided to make our military the strongest on earth....so strong, in fact, that no sane enemy would want to fight us. Because of him, hundreds of millions of people today are free from the suffocating yoke of Communism. And massive numbers of service members who were prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice... never had to face a single bullet fired at them in anger.

I will be grateful for that for the rest of my life.

"They acted like you had shot Santa Claus"

My friends Degé Coutee and Stephen Schochet attended my debate with Congressman Adam Schiff back in October of 2012. I was recently discussing my performance in that debate with Degé and told her that I was happy with many of the answers I gave that night. I asked her if she remembered the jaw-dropping reaction when I told the heavily-Democratic crowd that Global Warming was a "scam". She said...

"They acted like you had shot Santa Claus"

That's a great line.
I'll remember that line for the rest of my life.

This city is filled with vile, morally-bankrupt douchebags...

...and in a perfect world, most of these people would be in jail instead of sitting at the controls of power.

If I had won the Mayoral Election in 2009, several of these people would be in jail right now.

Boehner headline says it all....

Yep, he's with Obama.

I hope Ohio voters primary this guy.

The Orange Man must go.

Syria's Assad is a Dead Man Walking

Once you start using chemical weapons on your own civilian population, you have lost all moral authority to lead. The citizens of Syria will never forgive Assad, and they will never forget.

Saddam Hussein used chemical weapons on citizens in his own country  -- killing 5,000 people in Halabja in 1988.

When the Iraqi civilians finally got their hands on Saddam, he didn't stay alive very long.

Adam Schiff: Dhimmi

There is one huge difference between myself and Congressman Adam Schiff that was not addressed in our debate in the fall of 2012.

Schiff, in a pathetic attempt to pacify all of his potential voters, refuses to take strong stands against any other ideologies or political factions. I pointed this out when I wrote the column exposing the fact that he had both Jewish and Muslim political factions supporting his election efforts in 2012.

That is a high-wire act that few politicians can pull off.

One fact that bothered me greatly about Schiff was his continued praise by an organization called ANCA - the Armenian National Committee of America. ANCA continually praises Schiff...in fact, treating him with such sickening semi-god status that it really turns my stomach.... simply because he continually raises the issues of the Armenian Genocide committed by the Muslim Turks between 1914 - 1918.

I pointed out in my pre-election questionnaire from ANCA that they should ask Schiff if he were willing to hire Muslims to work on his staff in Washington. They have never asked that question, because they wouldn't like the answer. I told them openly that I wouldn't hire any Muslims on my staff because the followers of Islam do not believe in religious freedom and have targeted Jews and Christians for extermination for over 1,000 years.

I am going to pass this blog post along to officials at ANCA and ask them this ....

Did your hero Adam Schiff bow his head and pray with this Muslim in Congress?

(The same Muslims who tried to exterminate your entire culture and history...?)

If he did, then Adam Schiff is a Dhimmi. And you are wrong in your biased opinion about him.

Congressman Jennerjahn would have walked out of the room.

You see, Congressman Jennerjahn would have refused to participate in any nonsense that glorifies Islam or its followers.

Write-in "Carlos Danger" for Mayor!

I think that New Yorkers disgusted with Anthony Weiner should sarcastically write-in "Carlos Danger" on their ballots. I think it would be hilarious to see that name officially listed in the city clerks vote totals.

Palin, Bachmann for Senate!!

I was thinking the other day about the potential for the Republican Party to take back majority status in the United States Senate in 2014.

A Republican Majority would be able to stop Barack Obama and the Democrats from doing further damage to the nation.

Patriots need to step up to the plate and volunteer to help rescue the nation from any further potential decline and demise.

I am calling on two Republican big names to run for office in 2014.

Michele Bachmann is one of the best-known political figures in Minnesota. She should run for U.S. Senate against Al Franken. Franken barely won a disputed election in 2008 and he hasn't done anything of real value for Minnesotans. Bachmann would be very competitive against a weak leader like Franken.

And Sarah Palin needs to run for U.S. Senate against Mark Begich in 2014. Begich is a Democrat in a red state, and barely got into office to begin with.

Palin had outstanding approval ratings as Governor of Alaska...some of the highest in the nation.

She would be an extremely tough opponent for Begich.

They need to form their committees and run.

They need to do it for love of country.

Obama and the Democrats need to be stopped.

And what better option for a Republican candidate than two of the most famous female Republicans in the country?

Michael Jacksons Neverland Ranch

The other day I was driving down the 5 Freeway and noticed the big white mausoleum building on the hill to the east...part of Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale, California.

I thought about how sad it was that fans of Michael Jackson didn't have a decent place to go see him.

As one of the biggest stars in music history, Jackson should have had something special set aside for himself.

What should have happened is that Jacksons family should have used the money from Michaels will to get Neverland Ranch out of hock to the people who bailed it out financially.

Michael should have been buried there, and the amusement park should have been restored to its former glory. It would be turned into an attraction, and a few hundred thousand people would visit every year.

Sure, the neighbors would complain about extra traffic, but if the Jacksons agreed to add $3-4 to the ticket price as a set-aside for improvement funds for the local city, you'd be surprised how fast it might get approved.

Besides, this attraction would provide income for the Jackson family for decades into the future.

Elvis has been gone for over 40 years, but people still pay to go visit Graceland.

10 things I hate about Facebook

I'll be honest. I like Facebook.

I think the interconnectivity it provides between human beings is invaluable.

However, it is not without its flaws.

Sometimes it is a bit overwhelming trying to keep up with the activities of hundreds, if not thousands of other human beings.

I've been using Facebook for a few years now...and these are a few things I could use a lot less of.

10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT FACEBOOK:

1. Censorship/ Liberal slant

If Mark Zuckerberg wants to really ensure the demise of Facebook, he will continue his trend of meddling with individual content. MySpace used to be a really hot website at one time, and Facebook came along and wiped the floor with them. There is no way of preventing a rival company from coming up with a similar social media site with fewer censorship issues and much less of a liberal slant on world issues and events. As a former Congressional candidate, I was stunned to see a comment of mine removed which simply stated my opinion on gay marriage. If Facebook starts to censor political commentary by Federal candidates, then they probably won't last very long. Eventually, Zuckerbergs website users will find another option. Twitter seems to let you say whatever you want. Maybe they can expand their website and mission statement/goals.

2. Narcissism/Vanity

Sure, you might be a good looking woman/man. But does every photo on your page have to be about you? Can't you ever take a picture of something else? Everyone has a certain amount of vanity, but people who post non-stop photos of themselves all the time are not so interesting to me. In fact, they become kind of irritating. Try to show that you have a sense of perspective in life. If over 50% of your Facebook photos are of you...you might have a problem. Also, I don't need to know that you are "signing off" for the night or going to bed. Surprisingly enough, my life doesn't revolve around you.

3. Crusaders

Much like the previous item above, it is all about having a sense of balance in your life. People who post non-stop about animal rescues, abortion, gun rights, Obama, the war in Syria ...etc...etc..etc. They become like a rock in your shoe... very irritating. I'm not against people having interests and passions... because I also have them myself. But again, it is all about a sense of balance. I might agree with you ideologically 100%, but it doesn't mean I want to talk about that subject every single day.

4. Pity Parties

I also get tired of the "woe is me" crowd. People whining about not having a job, or being in danger of losing their assets or their lifestyle. How about a sense of perspective, folks?!! Stevie Wonder is blind...but you don't hear him complain about it every day! Stephen Hawking is in a wheelchair and can barely move, yet he somehow did something worthwhile with his life. Yes...things might not be great for you right now...but there are over 500 million people in Asia and Africa who would gladly trade places with you and take your problems. At least you have a computer and internet access. Half the world doesn't even have that.

5. Tyranny

It's really a simple rule of thumb here, folks. I don't tell you how to run your Facebook page, so don't tell me how to run mine! I am not interested in your nonsensical warnings about how someone else is dangerous or crazy. I generally ignore threats to delete someone if they don't get rid of certain friends. And I really don't care to hear about how if I don't change my "settings" I will be deleted as a friend. You know what? Just go ahead and de-friend me. I probably won't even notice you are gone. But spare me your speeches, demands, and tyrannical nonsense!

6. Solicitations for aid/votes/prayers

Begging on Facebook has never been appealing. So don't do it.
And no, I don't really care if your niece wins "Little Miss Oswego".... so I won't be registering or voting for that. And I know it sure would be nice if I said a prayer for your 98 year old grandmother in the hospital....but sorry...I don't think my communication time with God is really an appropriate time to be asking Him to do personal favors for you.

7. Pets

I know some people won't like to hear this...but if you have your pet in your profile picture, you might have a problem. Pets are pets. Sure, they are cute and funny sometimes, but not everyone shares your passion/interest in your furry friends. An occasional photo is fine, but if over 50% of your photos are of your  pet... you might be irritating your Facebook friends.

8. Dirty laundry

No, I really don't need to hear about what an incredible jerk your boss is. And I don't need to hear about how awful your former husband/wife was and how they are trying to destroy your life. I don't burden you with personal drama...please use the same restraint.

9. TMI

TMI stands for "too much information". Like letting the whole world know that your child pooped on the living room couch. Or showing the world the garish wound you got by stepping on broken glass while at the beach. Some things just don't need to be shared. Let it go.

10. Advertising

Facebook is starting to let spam-like ads creep into the news feed, which I think was part of their long term goal all the time, anyway. Get users hooked on sharing information through social media, then spread some spam into the mix. Make billions. Actually, I'm surprised some giant corporation didn't think of this first. They all could have had their own social networks years ago.

Fleetwood Mac -- July 3, 2013

Last night I attended the Fleetwood Mac concert at the Staples Center.

Never in my life have I seen people more unmusical, untalented, and unrhythmic.

And no...I'm not talking about the band.

They were fine.

They have been rocking the stage for over 30 years.

They knew what they were doing.

I was referring to the fans.

Drunk, swaying around wildly with reckless abandon.

Off beat, out of sync with the music.

The sight of it made me wonder....

"How can these people claim to love music when they clearly can't even hear it?"

Wow. Seriously, Facebook?

The former Republican Nominee for Congress in the 28th Congressional District of California states his opinion about gay marriage on Facebook and gets the comment yanked down and gets banned from posting for 12 hours.

Unbelievable.

Obviously, this is 1984 and Big Brother is watching.

You are no longer allowed to have a contrary opinion under our Dear Leader Obama.

Facebook is censoring pure, political opinion from Federal candidates.

Frightening.

John McCain is dead to me

See this photo? This is what is wrong with America. John McLame having a laugh with fellow degenerates Chuck Shumer and Lindsey Grahamnesty as they vote to allow 11 million illegal immigrants to stay in America. The guy on the far right -- Senator Menendez -- is even happier than the others. He prefers his prostitutes to be young and Latina.

50 years ago today

John F. Kennedy was a charming man.

Even the most contentious of his political enemies would easily admit that.

In 1963, when he gave this speech, Kennedy was the most powerful man in the world.

He had an easygoing, graceful style but still maintained the ability to laugh at himself.

It was something that Americans -- and the world -- loved about him.

Irish politician Clare Daly slams Obama, calls him "war criminal"

I had a great laugh watching this video, as Irish politician Clare Daly ripped apart her own President for fawning over the Obamas on a visit to Ireland.

I didn't agree with every criticism she had...but one line was the real capper:

"To be honest with you, we were really speculating this morning whether you were going to deck the Cabinet out in leprechaun hats decorated with a bit of stars and stripes to really mark abject humiliation here."

Boom.

Muslims in Iran order public beating of actress

Muslims in Iran have ordered an actress to receive a brutal public beating of 90 lashes for the "crime" of appearing in a film that was critical of the police-state government that all Iranians live under.

This "lashing" is not a simple matter. It is a severe beating.

People can die from this type of punishment.

Muslims in Bangladesh recently beat a 14 year old girl to death, in public!

She died before making it to 101 lashes, which was her sentence under Islamic law.

Her crime? Being raped by her 40 year old cousin.

I am mentioning this case as part of my efforts to expose Islam to America and the rest of the world.

Islam has a belief system that is the antithesis of freedom.

We cannot coexist with people like this.

Jennerjahn v. City of Los Angeles

In the past, I had deferred taking any legal action against the City of Los Angeles because it would have put me in the uncomfortable position of going up against a friend, City Attorney Carmen Trutanich.

However, now that Nuch has been defeated by Mike Feuer in the election and will leave office in a few weeks, I no longer have that fact as a hindrance to my ongoing interests in stopping tyranny.

The City of Los Angeles repeatedly violates the Fourth Amendment of the United States Constitution.

I am sick of their whimsical, politically-correct desires to inflict their petty tyranny on others.

It's about time they learned that the tail does not wag the dog.

We, the citizens, decide how far our government can go...and Los Angeles has repeatedly exceeded its limits.

We have an illiterate voting pool and corrupt degenerates serving in political office.

That is a recipe for tragedy on a large scale.

I predict that 2013 will be the year that I take the City to Federal Court over several Constitutional violations.

I might not be able to beat these people in an election.

But even Matt Dowd and Zuma Dogg have shown that they can beat this City in Federal Court.

Adios Payaso! You won't be missed.

Antonio Villaraigosa is a perfect example of what happens when big labor unions shoehorn someone into a job that they are not qualified or prepared for.

In this photo, Villaraigosa looks like a preening, self-absorbed jackass.

But that was pretty much how he looked most of the time for the eight painful years that he held office here in Los Angeles.

RINO Christie keeps his "hands clean", costs New Jersey taxpayers $24 million

RINO Chris Christie has decided not to give Republicans an extra vote in the U.S. Senate.

Wonderful.

Instead, he has decided to call for a special election to fill the recently-deceased Senator Frank Lautenbergs spot in Washington. As Governor, he is allowed to appoint a Republican to the open position until the spot comes up for election in 2014. Now the spot will most likely go to a Democrat.

This decision is a betrayal of the Republican Party and also of all who supported him.

It was most likely done to protect his Presidential ambitions in 2016.

Kind of reminds me of a certain song....

Au revoir, mon cheri !!

Nobody hated on Obama more than Michele Bachmann.

She will be missed.

Muslims butcher English soldier in broad daylight in London

English citizens who may have been on the fence about Islam just got a wake-up call.

Two lunatic Muslims attacked and butchered an English soldier on a public street in London in the middle of the day.

They then paraded around showing off the body and their bloodied hands to passersby.

Of course, due to the pathetic gun-control laws in England, no citizen was able to stop the murderous rampage of these madmen. In fact, it took police 20 minutes to show up to an active murder site with eyewitnesses.

It is a crime so shocking that it incited rioting by some of the the citizens of London.

Unfortunately, this won't be the last of these attacks.

The Muslims attackers conversed with passersby explaining away their actions by saying it was "revenge" for British military actions in Muslim countries.

They seem to conveniently forget that Islam is the true aggressor. Islam has been brought to dozens of countries through rape and murder. Islam is the only religion that actively seeks the violent destruction of other religions.

The West has been far too tolerant towards Islam for too long.

These people do not believe in personal freedom, freedom of speech, or freedom of religion.

They are engaged in a battle that seeks our destruction.

To fail to confront them will only increase the price we pay in blood.

I'm voting for Carmen Trutanich!

I'm not excited about this upcoming City Election here in Los Angeles tomorrow.

There is only one person I will have an interest in voting for, and that is Carmen Trutanich.

I am voting for Nuch based on my personal friendship with him, which developed over a period  of months in 2009 when I was running for Mayor and he was running for City Attorney.

Spending a lot of time together at civic forums and neighborhood candidate events gave me some real insight into who Nuch is and what he is trying to accomplish. Nuch is no typical egomaniacal politician...in fact, Nuch got into politics fairly late in life after having had a successful career in the private sector.

His opponent, Mike Feuer is quite the opposite.

Feuer is an entrenched career politician with no backbone or integrity. He simply wants to avoid getting a real job in the private sector, and get back on the government teat. Feuer has already spent six years in the State Legislature and six years on the LA City Council. He has helped to send both our City and State very close to bankruptcy.

Voters rejected Feuer in 2001 when he ran for this exact same position.

I will help voters reject Feuer a second time by voting for Carmen Trutanich tomorrow.

Greuel, Garcetti combine to make Los Angeles #1..... .....in layoffs.

Well, this news comes as no surprise to anyone who lives here.

Despite ludicrous claims to the contrary, the Socialist regime in power in Los Angeles has brought local citizens massive pain by way of government edict.

The high-taxing high-regulating Socialists in power have managed to drive away a record number of jobs and businesses with their wealth-redistribution schemes.

It turns out that hard-working business people don't care for the local governments aggressive attitude towards their income.

Los Angeles has had more massive layoffs --  27,000 -- than the next five major metro areas in America combined.

And yet, somehow, one of these two candidates will be rewarded with the Mayors Office Tuesday night.

I don't know about you, but I'm getting a sick feeling in my stomach knowing that one of these two will be in power here for the next four years.

Please God, make it stop!

Wendy Greuel is now promising hotel workers $15 an hour as a minimum wage at their hotels in return for their unionized voting bloc support.

What a vile election season this has become.

From the LA Times.......

The union representing hotel workers in Los Angeles has been out in force campaigning for Wendy Greuel for mayor. In large part that's because union leaders said Greuel told them she supports their proposal to impose a $15-an-hour minimum wage at big hotels in the city.
To fire up their workers, and voters, about the wage plan, United Here, Local 11, composed a mariachi-style song that it played over the weekend from a pickup equipped with loudspeakers.
Union officials translated the Spanish lyrics into English. Here's a portion of the words:
"If for la Wendy you want to vote
Get in the car and let's have fun.
And for la Wendy to win
All Latinos got to have her back.
If you want to earn $15 an hour
You have to march for la Wendy.
If the blond comes to your door
Open the door and let her in.
Wendy, la Wendy we're gonna vote.
$15 an hour we'll make.
Wendy, la Wendy we're gonna dance.
Eric Garcetti start crying.
From Montecito to Huntington Park
Passing El Sereno, eating tamales
And the voters for you will fight.
We'll have extra money to spend.
The people will support you.
That's why the blond will triumph.
In the truck we'll celebrate
With the mariachis we'll sing
Her last name is difficult to sing
That's why we're writing this rhyme.
La Wendy, Los Angeles you will change
And the Latino vote will crown you."

Jan "Hamburglar" Perry endorses...Nuch?

There is an old saying ...."Politics makes for strange bedfellows."

Nothing could be stranger than hearing that the soon-to-be-Private-Citizen Jan Perry has decided to endorse Carmen "Nuch" Trutanich as City Attorney.

At first reading, you might think this was a typo or a misprint.

No, it's real.

"But how can this be?", you might ask. After all, Nuch is the same City Attorney who threatened to throw City Council Member Jan Perry in jail for shady contractual dealings with corporate titan AEG.

It is difficult to forget something like that.

Evidently Jan Perry simply prefers Nuch to the vile option of Mike Feuer. Feuer is a degenerate career politician who simply doesn't want to get a real job, and is craving more milk from the generous government teat.

Nuch, on the other hand, actually enjoys doing the job.

His threat to jail Perry was a sign of his authenticity.

Perry can respect that, if nothing else.

Feuer won't be jailing any City officials.

Most likely, if he were to win, he would be aiding and abetting them.

Pakistan: The Most Dangerous Country in the World

While many political experts are turning their attention towards the potential political hotspots of Iran and North Korea, the actual threat of World War III happening any time soon should instead cause people in power to divert their attention towards the legitimate danger of the conflict between Pakistan and India.

Originally one country, Pakistan and India split up because their Muslim and Hindu populations could not co-exist. The majority of India (Hindus) stayed where they were. The Muslims migrated to the northwest and formed Pakistan. This separation hasn't worked well for either side.

Muslims from Pakistan have been crossing into India and kidnapping and raping Hindu women and forcibly converting them to Islam. The Muslims -- as commanded by their "prophet" Mohammed -- have been conducting terrorist attacks and murderous raids on the Hindus in India for over 50 years. The terrorists attacks on Mumbai in 2008  that killed 164 people were officially supported by Pakistans Intelligence Agency. (If that isn't cause for war, I don't know what is). It is a horrifying and intolerable situation, and because of it the Pakistanis and Indians have already fought three declared wars during this short time period.

Most people in India are now at the point where they would welcome war with Pakistan, as it would allow them the chance to decimate their enemies.

The video above is very famous in both countries. It was made about four years ago by a young Hindu Girl that was about 13 years old at the time.

Even though Hindus are well known for being one of the most peaceful religions on earth, the horrible treatment of their country by the Muslims in Pakistan has resulted in this video, in which the young Hindu girl is screaming for her country to be strong...to confront Pakistan and and even use nuclear weapons on them if necessary.

The interesting thing about this video is not the girls passionate speech, but the fact that she had a crowd cheering her suggestions. It shows the mentality that is growing in India...that they must either fight or die.

This young girl is not an elected official in India, but who is to say that in 20 years she might not be? Or that someone who listened to her speech won't be elected to a top position in Indias political  structure?

Pakistan is an official government sponsor of terrorism, rape and murder. They have become the most dangerous country on earth, and it was a severe mistake for the civilized nations of the world to allow Pakistan to obtain nuclear weapons. India now has to deal with this situation on a daily basis.

The animosity level between these two countries is off the charts.

They are headed for war.

The only question is when.

Wendy Greuel sucks (but so does Eric Garcetti...)

Here is a photo of me with my "Oh no!" face while visiting a friend who works on the Greuel campaign.

Want to know why Wendy Greuel and Eric Garcetti both suck?

They are both Big Government Statists who believe they have more power to control your lives than they are actually legally allowed.

LA City Council recently voted that they would ban high-capacity magazines for firearms.

They conveniently forget the large angry mobs of the LA riots in 1992. (Do you think 10 little bullets will save you and your family in that situation? Good luck with that...!!)

How would Wendy or Eric act on this issue?

They wouldn't do anything.

That's why they both suck and I won't be voting for either one of them.

Memo to Wendy Greuel: I tried to warn you!!

Here is a stellar tidbit of advice from me to Wendy Greuel from my blog post on June 13th, 2012.

(Memo to Wendy Greuel: You need to dump Shallman, too. You will not be lucky enough to run against Nick and Suzy in 2013. You will face heavy hitters like Eric Garcetti and maybe Zev Yaroslavsky. Shallman will bankrupt you, and make sure that you lose)

And here is consultant John Shallmans latest idiotic maneuver on her behalf.

From The LA Weekly....

"Wendy would never have accepted Kevin James' endorsement without his unqualified apology for his racist and insensitive remarks," Shallman said.

There you go.

Call the third place finisher in the Mayoral Primary a racist.

What could possibly go wrong?

Embarrassing political cheerleading at Mayor Sam

Well, Michael Higby has done it again.

Mayor Sam, probably the best known political blog in Los Angeles, has become an embarrassing one-sided political cheerleading tool to promote the Mayoral campaign of City Councilman Eric Garcetti.

Today's column calls Garcetti "Batman".

Wow.

Really?

Higby might want to ask community activist Zuma Dogg about his side of the story.

Zuma Dogg seems to remember things quite differently.

Is Higby certain that Garcetti didn't first run this person over before providing assistance/aid?

This shameful pandering is reminiscent of the times when the Mayor Sam blog was shamelessly promoting the candidacy of Paul Krekorian for the City Council position in District 2. Krekorian was a tantrum throwing diva who eventually earned the nickname "The Dark Lord" thanks to his clearly-obvious disdain for his previous voters and darkly-sinister political motives.

If Higby and the MayorSam blog want to wear a cheerleading outfit for the rest of the Mayoral campaign, I have provided some options in the photos above.

Both photos have a big "G" on the chest.

(Disclosure: I am not supporting either candidate in the Mayoral Election.)

George Jones 1931-2013

I am deeply saddened by the passing yesterday of Country Music legend George Jones.

For me, Jones was like The Beatles or Elvis Presley.

He had hit songs for 50 years.

It is unlikely we will ever see that again.

This song of his is my favorite. It's about a blue collar working man whose woman spends his paycheck.

Wendy Greuel will be Mayor of Los Angeles.... even if she has to beat you to death with her own campaign literature

Did you get this in the mail?

Unfortunately, I did.

I'm sure that many of you who vote regularly in City Elections also received it.

Let's take a closer look at this magnum opus from the Wendy Greuel campaign.

Hmm. 36 pages. Already a bit much for the casual voter to comprehend.

She talks about the problems the City faces. She talks about how she will be the all-solving conqueror when elected Mayor. Already, alarm bells are going off in my head.

Greuel has been part of the problem for a decade. She voted along with the other Socialists on City Council for spending program after spending program. As Controller, she identified government waste, fraud and abuse, but did nothing to curb these practices.

The mailer goes on to showcase shiny photos of her with Bill Clinton and Richard Riordan and Barbara Boxer. Lots of talk about "investing" and "creating"...which makes me very nervous. That is not the proper role of government.

The last thing anyone on earth should have wanted in the last 8 years was to hand more money over to that showboating degenerate Antonio Villaraigosa. The City is not in better shape than when he took power....but that was never any concern of his. Like Obama, Villaraigosa is a looter, and is completely unconcerned about others, or the future of the City.

To her credit, I think Greuel is somewhat of a pragmatist. I think as Mayor she would try to do what she could try to do. I don't think she has the ideological intensity of Eric Garcetti. That man is a true believer is his government-creating-liberal-nirvana nonsense. And that scares me.

It's a shame that Wendy is probably going to lose this election. She had a big amount of momentum early, but turned off a lot of voters by beating up on Jan Perry in the primaries. Humiliating Jan Perry over her personal bankruptcies was a tactical error. It was unnecessary, because Jan Perry was not a threat to her in the primaries. Now, she probably won't even get 40% of the vote in African American households.

Wendy can still win, but she needs a big comeback. A momentum changer.

I don't know what that would be.

Poor Wendy.

I don't know if I have ever seen a political figure want a job so badly.

And if current trends continue, Wendy is going to be facing a cloudy future on Election Night.

Live Tweeting the Mayoral Debate

I watched and commented on Twitter about the Los Angeles Mayoral Debate.

I'm still livid at NBC for hosting a Mayoral debate in 2005 and another in 2013, but totally screwing the Mayoral candidates in 2009 (of which I was one).

Here are the Tweets (I have reversed the Twitter order for a more logical read):

Might do some live Tweeting of the Mayoral Debate. Interesting how can hold one in 2005 and 2013. Why did they skip 2009?!!

now sees the light on explosive pension debt. Only took her 10 years. Clever lady.

"tried to be the Education Mayor"??!!! LOL. ROFLMAO.

Neither one of these horrible liberals has said anything about getting government out of education. More failure guaranteed.

Did just talk about chasing down truants outside of school??!! Easy, stormtrooper!! This is still a free country

is involved with that NUTTY Ciclavia shutting down streets for bicycles? Knew there was something I didn't like about him.

calls Westsiders "prisoners in their own homes". Drama Queen. Yes, traffic is horrible, but more govt is not the answer.

Hey NBC, thanks for that televised debate in 2009 so voters could know who was best!! The blood is on your hands.

Graffiti problems: a sign of worthless liberal leaders & a general lack of respect for law and order, like sanctuary Mayor

is a master of political non- speak!! Talks for 10 minutes without saying anything!!

Why do engineers leave town? Because they don't care to hand over half their paychecks to & !!

What about the people who despise every elected official in town?

I don't recognize the City they are both talking about. Jobs growth. Reduced traffic, graffiti?

Job promotion isn't needed. Just stop electing Nanny-State leaders like and - they are economic poison!

She's a Socialist. They are all wannabe Totalitarians.

Listening to complain about and her money is just... I don't know. Not impressed.

When just said "I did the right thing"-- she sounded like a liar.

is mad name-dropping right now. Really makes me dislike her. If she was so awesome, she'd be destroying

Oh yeah, came up with the pothole app for iPhone. That city budget stuff will go away if you ignore it!!

"I'm going to be a strong leader for LA!" Well, maybe. There's a 50% chance you will just be Private Citizen Wendy Greuel.
