FEAR (it's not my style...)

I am getting lots of emails from people complaining about the Recall.
Saying that I need to do things a certain way.
That I need to have "X" number of signatures already....
Insulting my progress. Abusing people who are involved. Ridiculing them.

These peoples comments are unimportant.
If they can do a better job than I can, I encourage them to file their own Recall.

I am not afraid to attempt this massive project.
It is possible that I might fail. I accept that potential outcome.
But it is also possible I might succeed.
My sense of vision allows me to see a future where that happens.

But if we do not try, it guarantees that there will be no change.
The citizens of Los Angeles deserve better than that.

Our Country is at a "Crisis Point"

The political left is moving at light speed to dismantle freedom and install Socialism.
Our rights and freedoms are at stake.
November 2010 is the high water point.
Americans will turn back the wave of totalitarianism and return power to Republicans.
They are the only party that will defend individual freedom.

ALL Democrats in danger in November

Surveys are showing that Americans are unhappy with the Democrats and their aggressive freight train express towards Socialism and the European nanny-state. Barack Obama has lost several campaigns in a row now...Virginia, New Jersey, Massachusetts... where he campaigned for the Democratic candidate.

Voters will be voting their pocketbooks in November, and they don't trust the Democrats with the economy.

Newt Gingrich thinks the Democrats could lose 150 seats.... I hope so.
Karen Bass could be one of those seats. I'm working on it.

Freedom Commercial - Take 2

It was quite cold and windy in Washington D.C. the day I filmed this, but I'm 'Sconnie tough... I didn't even wear a jacket when others nearby were wearing parkas.

Thanks to Amile Wilson of Jackson , Mississippi for the photography and the video camera work.

"That Proposition Is Insane!"

Here is a little clip of Congressman Thaddeus McCotter, one of my favorite Conservatives, telling it exactly like it is. Concerning the Democrats and their Socialist takeover of health care, McCotter points out that people trusting that the government can functionally run health care is "insane". The government will run Health Care about as well as they run Medicare, Medicaid, The U.S. Post Office, Amtrak, and Social Security.... meaning that the government will continue to destroy everything it touches -- because of its lack of accountability in a free market society.

Karen Bass: An Open-Borders Socialist!!

Karen Bass is a Socialist, and her ideology is nonsense. The primary role of the Federal Government is to provide military defense of our country. Allowing 20 million foreign nationals to stay here only encourages more law-breaking in the future and makes Americans less safe. Like all liberals, she admits that immigration is a problem, but offers no solutions. The fact that she thinks that enforcing our nations immigration laws is "unconstitutional" shows that she is incompetent and she has no business seeking to be elected to Congress. Her presence there would provide a solid vote for amnesty and an overwhelming new flood of immigrants. I strongly urge voters in the 33rd District to reject her Socialist World View .... a view that apologizes for those who break our laws. Vote Jennerjahn for Congress.

Raising Arizona

I meant, raising the subject of Arizona and its recent decision to uphold our nations immigration laws.

This is a sore point with many American citizens -- that our Federal government does almost nothing to stop or deter illegal immigration. Arizona recently voted to enforce the Federal law themselves. This has sent the lawbreakers, and the political left who support them, into a tizzy.

There are some loony liberals who feel this is some type of violation of Civil Rights. But police already have the right to stop and question you if they think you are doing something wrong. Arizona lawmakers feel that this law simply takes the handcuffs off of the law enforcement officials. It is the opposite of Special Order 40 here in Los Angeles, which has helped make this City into a magnet for illegal immigration.

Arizona is asserting its States Rights. If the Federal government has shown that it will not defend our national border, then Arizona citizens have the right to defend themselves.

Even the left cannot dispute that the issue is a problem. They just won't do anything to solve it.

Lisa Sarkin: Dangerous Enemy of Freedom

This clip is courtesy of fantastic videographer Michael N. Cohen who travels the City videotaping important public meetings. This video shows just how far off the deep end the little pocket-dictators at the Studio City Neighborhood Council have gone.

They kicked Michael McCue - an ELECTED member - off of the board simply because he acted in a way that "hurt their feelings". Wow. Has the Obama Nobel Committee seen these people in action? If so, they might want to start engraving another award.

Good news for Judy Price, who called Michael McCue a "terrorist" during her comments. She now has a "wonder twin" and fellow Dangerous Enemy of Freedom in Lisa Sarkin. Watch the video. Her attitude is repulsive.

Lisa Sarkin is soundly booed by the crowd when she tells them that they have "no right to have an opinion" on this subject. President Ben Neumann is another little pocket dictator who threatened to have security throw out one man simply because he vocalized his displeasure with the proceedings. "This is not a back-and-forth" he kept repeating. Translation... You will do as I say!

SCNC voters...these people are lunatics.
You need to vote them out in this upcoming election.

Comments

I have disabled the comments function on my blog.
I just don't have time for it. I'm running for office, and I'm trying to make the Recall a success.
I don't have time to waste going through 20-30 nutty posts a day...most of which are slamming me or critical in some way. I don't mind the criticism, but I don't need to waste any more time on it.

Maybe I'll enable it at some time in the future, but right now I am too busy.

Vamos a Destituirlo!!

The RECALL has begun. First day update

Well, I have to be honest. The day did not start out well. Our press conference on the South lawn of City Hall was not that great. Few people showed up. Hell, I think there were more police there to keep an eye on us than we had supporters. It was a setback that I hadn't planned on. I thought there would be at least 50 people there.
There was clearly no use for the bullhorn we brought with us. No speeches were made.

But the videographer did let us do a little mini-commercial right there next to City Hall.

And Rick Orlov of the Daily News, he came all the way down those big stairs on the south side to interview us. God bless him.

Afterwards we went into Council chambers for the City Council meeting and Walter Moore spoke very defiantly about the Recall and signed his petition right at the podium. Nice bit of theater there.

David Hernandez was very polite. Then I got up and lambasted the Council for being "corrupt and morally bankrupt". Not that many people in attendance at Council, either. The funniest moment was when a character named John Walsh said something like "you know the world has gone crazy when I am the voice of reason".
It was really funny because Walsh is a bit odd.

I was feeling a bit depressed as I walked out of City Hall, but then I checked my phone... 48 emails in one hour? WHAT!??

Evidently, Rick Orlov had filed the story from City Hall. It was on the Daily News website.
And the story listed our website, www.recallcityhall.org
We were getting tons of internet traffic. The emails and phone calls started blowing up.

Then, later on, David Hernandez did a nice 5 minute segment on the Recall on Channel 9 at 9 p.m.

It was the lead story. Bingo. Great kickoff to the Recall.
They repeated the segment partially at 10 p.m. More attention.
Now the other stations will have to pick up the story.

From this press will come more and more people willing to join the fight.
Things are looking good.

In addition to the days political events, I see that unfortunately , the writers at the Mayor Sam blog have nothing better to do than to criticize my efforts. But that is nothing new - or notable - there. I should listen to the advice of Zuma Dogg and stay clear of the "dark energy" that is created by the haters who dominate that blog. The Michael Higbys, The Joe Barretts, the Mary Cummins of the world all collected there. Dark energy.

You never see Joe Barrett or anything he does being listed as the top story on Channel 9 news.

Recall starts tomorrow at City Hall. Be there.

Recall City Hall.org is experiencing a great run of success. The City Clerks Office has approved our Recall petitions. People are swarming to the website and asking how they can help.

We will be handing out copies of the Recall petition to interested parties at City Hall, on the south side, at 9:30 a.m. The media will be there, as two television stations have agreed to cover the story.

This is the beginning of a major effort to clean out corruption and incompetence from Los Angeles City politics.

Krekorian gives voters middle finger

As I mentioned before in this blog, City Council Member Paul Krekorian is proving himself to be exactly the type of scumbag that voters had been warned about. A job-hopping, voter-deceiving, morally bankrupt career politician who isn't fit for office.

Did I mention that he is a budget-destroying Socialist?

Yeah, That's right. He has other issues, too....

I sent this email to Krekorian 90 days ago. No response.

He does have a staff that gets paid with our tax dollars, right?

And he also gets paid $174,000 a year to do his job, right?

Is it really that difficult to acknowledge that a registered voter in your City sent you an email asking you to do something nice for a supporter who helped get you elected???

I cannot comprehend an elected official being this obtuse.

But hey...it's Krekorian. I warned people not to vote for him.

Reminds me of the Zuma Dogg comment from one of the CD 2 forums....

"Talk to them now because once they get in office, you will never hear from them again..."

Zuma Dogg is turning out to be quite the prophetic political activist.

Date: January 18, 2010 7:34:52 PM PST

To: councilmember.Krekorian@lacity.org

Dear Councilmember Krekorian,

Mayor Sam blogger Michael Higby recently decided to end his blog.

It had become a focal point of Los Angeles politics.

His rather one-sided support of your candidacy in the 2nd District may have helped drive hundreds of people to support your election.

I am asking you to honor him with a City Appreciation Certificate and five minutes of praise at a future Council Meeting.

Thank You

Phil Jennerjahn

Update: 90 days later, no response.

The Recall begins April 20 !!!

Our revised version of the Petition to Recall Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has been accepted by the City Clerk.

The Recall is now official. It begins on April 20th.

Activists need to get their forces to City Hall on April 20th.

We are going to distribute petitions and talk about the Recall during public comment at City Council.

We are going to confront this incompetent Mayor during his speech later that day. Perfect timing for us.

The lamestream media won't be able to ignore this anymore.

We have four months to collect the 240,000 signatures we need.

We will be working on this all summer.

The Mayor is facing a firestorm of voter anger.

4,000 City employees who feel that they will be laid off due to his incompetent budget management.

800 marijuana dispensary owners who feel that their very livelihood is threatened.

100,000 medical marijuana patients who don't want to see their favorite dispensaries disappear.

1,500,000 angry voters who saw their DWP rates get raised in a middle-of-the-night, backdoor deal by an aggressive, dangerous, and devious regime.

The Mayor was so cocky that he didn't even respond to the Recall Petition.

Maybe he thinks he has enough control over the local newspapers - he thinks he can shut this effort down.

He thinks he can survive this Recall campaign. Who knows? Maybe he is right.

But I promise you one thing.

We are going to find out.

Final details of Recall Petition

We are working with the City Clerks Office on the final details of the Recall petitions. We are very close to being approved. Then, the Recall campaign begins.

We ironed out the kinks over font size and placement. Now I guess there are a few words in Spanish that need to be reviewed. It's a big headache, and I give a lot of credit to Degé, who has been doing the heavy lifting on the computer stuff.

The webmaster has a new button under "DONATE" at RecallCityHall.org
I think we can take Paypal payments right now. Very new...still working on it.
I thank David Hernandez for his work on that.

I can't wait to get approval and start printing these out. I think it will put a smile on the faces of thousands of residents here in Los Angeles.

Recall Petition update

The City Clerks Office has reviewed our initial Recall Petition. There are a few minor adjustments that need to be made. Some of the font sizes were a little off. There were a few small corrections the Clerks Office wants us to make. However, there is good news in that the layout, format, and language all seem to be OK, with a few minor adjustments.

Now it is just a matter of squeezing or expanding the font sizes as required by the election code.
Unfortunately, the font on our office computers didn't match what the City wanted.
But it should be easily correctable.

Still on target for the April 20th launch.

RECALL petition is in development

We have had some contact with the City Clerks office over the layout of the Recall petitions. They seem to be, for the most part, O.K. with what we have shown them.

There are a few minor tweaks and details, but it is looking good for a launch on April 20th.
We are planning on inviting a ton of political activists to the next City Council meeting and having them sign the petitions right in Council Chambers. Walter Moore might do it during public comment at the podium.

And for all of you emailing and calling... please be patient. The format has not yet been approved.
We can't start handing them out yet and legally can't get signatures until April 20th.

I know some of you are very excited. Don't worry. It will happen.

On, Wisconsin!

Maybe I'm the only one in L.A. politics that cares, but my school - The University of Wisconsin - will play against Boston College for the National Championship of NCAA Hockey tomorrow night at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. The game will be televised on ESPN , starting at about 5 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.

The Badgers won the National title in hockey my senior year in college.
Good memories. Good times.

Here are a few other facts... (from Wikipedia)

"On, Wisconsin!" was regarded by John Philip Sousa as "the finest of college marching songs".[2][3] It has become one of the most popular fight songs in the country, with some 2,500 schools using some variation of it as their school song.[4] Although there are persistent rumors that the rights to the song are owned by Paul McCartney or Michael Jackson, which has even been reported by theChristian Science Monitor,[5] this applies solely to the international rights; the song is actually in the public domain in the United States.[6]

"On, Wisconsin!" was the cry that Arthur MacArthur, Jr. used in the Battle of Chattanooga at Missionary Ridge during the American Civil War. He seized the regimental colors, and rallied his regiment with "On, Wisconsin!", for which he was awarded the Medal of Honor.

Our school fight song has been featured in hundreds of movies.

On, Wisconsin! On, Wisconsin!
Plunge right through that line!
* Run the ball clear down the field,
* A touchdown sure this time. (U rah rah)
On, Wisconsin! On, Wisconsin!
Fight on for her fame
Fight! Fellows! - fight, fight, fight!
We'll win this game.

On, Wisconsin! On, Wisconsin!
Stand up, Badgers, sing!
"Forward" is our driving spirit,
Loyal voices ring.
On, Wisconsin! On, Wisconsin!
Raise her glowing flame
Stand, Fellows, let us now
Salute her name!

My favorite ladies

The thought of a Palin/Bachmann ticket in 2012 is something that has many Conservative activists intrigued and excited. I like the idea myself. But making it happen it would be very difficult.

2012 is going to be a huge year for Republicans. Barack Obama's lack of leadership is making things worse in America. There will be several big power players challenging Sarah Palin in 2012. She is the most charismatic of the candidates, but sometime politics are decided on a street-level by activists who go out and chase down the votes.

Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, Newt Gingrich, John Thune, Rick Perry, Rudy Giuliani....

There is a long line of people waiting to remove Barack Obama from power.

It won't be easy.

But the thought of two women on the ticket is very interesting.

Obamacare? We Should Have Seen You Coming | Tenth Amendment Center

This is the best article I've ever read on Obamacare. It expands government control over free individuals and will bankrupt this nation. It must be stopped at all costs. November 2010 is our last chance for free men and women to save America.

Publication Requirement Met

The Los Angeles Daily Journal, a legal newspaper, published our Recall Declaration against Mayor Villaraigosa on Friday, April 2nd, 2010.

Today, I delivered the proof of publication to the City Clerks Office.

Now, we just have to negotiate the size, shape, format, font, and other details of the Recall Petition itself.
Once those details have been agreed upon by the City Clerks Office, we can start printing the petitions and collecting signatures.

RecallCityHall.org will be promoting the Recall and encouraging voters to download and sign the form themselves.

"Speaking Democrat" by Rep. McCotter

Phil Jennerjahn, David Hernández, Augusto Bisani, Gloria Sheftel, Manny Aldana

Phil Jennerjahn, David Hernández, Augusto Bisani, Gloria Sheftel, Manny Aldana
