Early this morning, on the deck of the U.S.S. Wisconsin, Mitt Romney will announce his choice for Vice President in 2012: Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan.
Ryan is a smart, talented man who will be up to the task. Critics savaged Sarah Palin in 2008 for a lack of familiarity with crucial government policy information. There will be no such problems with Ryan. Ryan is a technical detail geek who has been doing policy research for over a decade.

This pick is trouble for Barack Obama. Ryan can destroy Joe Biden in a debate, and most likely Ryans large extended family in Wisconsin becomes a marching army that helps turn Wisconsin red in November.
Watch the above video for a preview of what his policy arguments will be like.
Ryan is smart, accurate, informed, likable and he makes his points without being disrespectful.
Ryan has been planning on being near the top of politics for over a decade.
He won't make very many mistakes.
He will win many Midwesterners over with his style. He will be devastating to Obama in Wisconsin, Iowa, and Minnesota.
In fact, even though I am not a fan of Romney, this pick seals the deal for me. I'll be voting for Romney even though I think he's a big-government RINO.
Why? Because of Paul Ryan.
Don't get me wrong. Ryan has his bad points, too. He has done some awful RINO-ish things -- like voting for TARP and GM bailouts. But I think he has his heart in the right place, and more often than not he would err on the side of freedom rather than doing what Obama does...erring on the side of tyranny.
And look at this photo of his family.
Ryan is raising his kids right...as Packer and Badger fans.
Paul Ryan has some bad non-Conservative votes on his record, but we can work on that.
He has the right Midwestern values, integrity, and work ethic to be one of our highest elected leaders. And I can't resist the opportunity to help put a fellow "Sconnie" in position to take the White House in 2020.
