Not so fast, Walter Moore!

In one of his recent blog posts, former Mayoral Candidate Walter Moore foresees a future in which City Council Members Jose Huizar and Tony Cardenas are defeated in their upcoming elections in March 2011.

In response to this blog post I say...not so fast, Walter Moore!

Huizar and Cardenas are, indeed, weak and may possibly be defeated in the next election - however - this is far from a foregone conclusion. I wish I could be more optimistic, but Los Angeles has a horrific record when it comes to re-electing the incompetent or those with criminal dreams and aspirations.

For example...

Shoved by the labor unions into an office that he was unfit for, an incompetent and morally bankrupt buffoon named Antonio Villaraigosa continues to "serve" us as Mayor of Los Angeles.

Los Angeles can't even avoid electing people who are totally bereft of talent, including degenerates like Ed Reyes and Jan Perry.

Hell .. even the recently indicted scumbag from the 7th District, Richard Alarcon, was allowed to continue his one-man crime spree from 2007 until 2010.

No, it is difficult to be optimistic about the political future of Los Angeles.

All we can do is hang in there, and keep fighting, and hope the tide will turn.
