Saying "No" to the "Death Mosque"

If you look at the above photo you will see the location of the proposed Cordoba House Mosque (a.k.a. "The Death Mosque"). When Muslim terrorists piloted commercial airliners into the World Trade Center buildings on September 11th, some of the debris from the attack came raining down on the building in question. It is, without a doubt, part of the crime scene.

Yesterday our questionably loyal President, Mr. Obama, had the audacity to basically spit in the faces of the family members of those killed on 9/11 by basically saying "Yeah, go ahead and build it".

As a Conservative, I am quick to understand President Obamas restatement of basic legal rights -- that the followers of the Muslim faith have every right to worship as they choose, as long as they are not harming others. However, his lack of general understanding of the symbolism involved is mind-boggling. As former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich stated on Fox News..."We wouldn't let the Nazis build a museum next to the Museum of Tolerance. We wouldn't let the Japanese put a shrine next to the USS Arizona."

Sarah Palin, being interviewed in Alaska, mentioned how "thousands of Americans are still suffering the pain of losing loved ones on 9/11".

Newt Gingrich and Sarah Palin are exactly right.
They have the moral clarity to say what needs to be said.
Just because it is legal to do something doesn't make it a good idea.

A "Death Mosque" at the World Trade Center site is exactly that -- a bad, bad idea.
It is an intentional provocation, and a slap in the face to all Americans.
It is a celebration of the death of thousands of Americans at the hands of Muslims.
It is the Muslims declaring victory over America.
Building a shiny new Mosque on our land, while the WTC site stands ghostly silent, and vacant.

City officials in New York City need to deny the building permits for this Mosque.
There are already 100 Mosques in New York City.
Practitioners of Islam can follow their faith in another location.
