Re: Debt Ceiling talks
To my fellow Conservatives,
I am writing to you today to implore you to hold the line in these debt ceiling talks.
Caving in to fear or threats from the Democrats will only mean our total defeat.
Our country and its future are on the line. This is your time to be strong.
Tea Party activists sent 60 new freshmen to Congress in 2010. You were elected for one reason: To stop Barack Obama and his agenda.
There are long term legislators like John McCain who have been talking about "cuts" for 20 years, but who have instead only stood by and watched the disastrous growth of our federal government.
Let me be blunt.
The Harry Reid budget plan is crap.
A man who won't even cut government funding for cowboy poetry isn't serious about a budget.
The John Boehner plan is crap lite.
He's trying to bail out the Titanic with a mop and a bucket.
It won't work.
Don't listen to the media as they concoct stories and create fear.
The line has to be drawn. And you are there to draw it.
Hold the line.
Our country will reward you for your courage.
